Thursday on âCBS This Morningâ while discussing Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump hinting at a third-party run, Peggy Noonan, a former speech writer for President Ronald Reagan and weekly columnist for The Wall Street Journal, said the Republican Party is in a âdelicateâ position because they canât afford to ostracize Trumpâs supporters.

Our country suffers from lack of leadership and loss of respect for authority.
This largely stems from “leadership” and “authority” telling us that Obama would be a competent president because he had a fluorescent intellect and well-creased trousers.
Anyone here who bothered to read what little of his background we were granted access to concluded that he would be a bitter partisan hack. He has lived down to our expectations.
The pundits need to sit down and be quiet.
I wish should would have said that about Sarah Palin’ circa September 08’...
Dearest Onyx, you may get to vote for both at the same time if my hunches are correct ;-). Cruz as VP would be the legal mind that Trump would need as he moves forward to stay within the constitutions boundaries. Trumps "consigliere" if you will. Merry Christmas and hope you are well.
lol Sounds like you have a good brain of your own. :)
:)
The GOPe will cease to exist as a political force after this election with or without Trump.
I should mention it was 3 decades ago that I did that, before law school and old age warped my brain.
Noonan is one of the reasons I canceled my subscription to the WSJ in 2008.

Same here. Either one of them or as a team. Next year is going to decide the fate of this country.
A good and blessed Merry Christmas!
The Republican elite are slowly coming to the realization that they have actually left the party in spirit a long time ago.
Now this election is about them leaving the party physically. The truth is if the Republican establishment leave the party Republican platform items can still win and so can the real Republican Party.

We really don’t need them, they are the ones who need us.
What they really wants is Hillary or jeb
What they’re afraid of is Trump winning even if they split the party wide open.

Red Eye was GREAT. what did he do. And getting rid of the quicky gay guy destroyed it.
Trump will win, and the country will be a well run business. That IS the business of America.
That gutfeld thought he could do that show on his own talent was enough. Talk about poor judgment.

So it's the "opinion" of so called GOPe leaders that feel Trump cannot beat Hillary. Their opinion is meaningless to me.
Dad could see through this ruse and felt the Americans of Japanese descent were being scapegoated just because they held land which the government and other well-connected people wanted. He knew some of these people as neighbors and friends in isolated communities in the Rocky Mountain states and they were left alone. Some were even descendants of people who built the railroad there some 80 years earlier and decided to not go back to Japan.
There was a large internment camp in the east desert (near present day Delta, Utah) where the relations with the locals were so good that a fair number of them decided to remain in the area after the camps were disbanded in the middle of the war as the useless waste of resources which they were. My grandfather actually bought one of the abandoned barracks building and moved it to his farm to use as an animal shed.
