I’m not letting them or you control my language. They don’t like being called Progressives. It’s not a “new flip,” I first heard libs using the term in the early ‘80s. IMO you’re the one who is letting the libs use you. If you don’t identify your enemy correctly they get to duck and weave on semantics. Just like calling muslims “radical muslims.” It’s a wonderful misdirection for them that they get you to implement for them.

I used to be a progressive and a radical one at that, and in the eighties we could not get the press and the right wingers to use the term progressive.

We had magazines like The Progressive and the Nation which used the term all the time. But now with good press the term is the now the kinder gentler term for Leftist.

Do what you want.
