“Only Trump can stop Trump.....”
I beg to differ. The is a formidable machine arrayed against Trump and they will stop at NOTHING to put an end to his candidacy up to and including violence. They list in particular order:
#1 The Media including Fox News Channel
#2 The ‘Rat Party
#3 The GOP
#4 Wall Street
#5 Islamic and “Latino” Fronts such as CAIR, La Raza, etc.
#6 The Race Industry
#7 The Entertainment Industry
#8 Academia
If Trump can overcome those obstacles and not only win the Presidency but escape with his life you’re looking at an election that will go down in history.
BTW, after hearing and seeing what the MSM is saying today you all may as well face it. War is coming.....
If Trump can overcome those obstacles...
Trump has already overcome every one of those pathetic "obstacles". It's why he's been leading the race since June, and why his numbers continue to rise while his opponents struggle to simply stay in the game.
The man is quite literally leading a bloodless revolution against the enemies of the republic. Trump is speaking for the rightful owners of this nation, which is why nothing the enemy does, can put a scratch on him.
As far as war coming, that may be. Thankfully, the good people of America have an embarrassment of champions to provide the sort of leadership that will be required to prevail - chief among them - one Donald J. Trump.
I think it would have to be nuclear at this point. Take this morning's rumor that the RNC will ban Trump from future debates, which follows last night's story of the RNC adding another CNN debate. Even if the debate ban was a trial balloon or some staffer who spoke out of turn, the damage is done the same to GOP credibility as if they actually did it.
People see the desperation in the establishment, and that is past being changeable. Everything they do from now on will be seen in this light.
In my opinion, the best play for the GOP is to accept the inevitable and start positioning themselves to take maximum advantage of it. That means aligning Senate, House, and statehouse races, as well as potential Cabinet positions. Romney failed to do this. Romney didn't nationalize his ticket by stumping with local candidates with the message of "Help me make America great again by sending Eddie Spaghetti to Washington to be on my team! I can't do it without all your help!" Trump will do this if the GOPe and RNC don't start laying their own groundwork first. And it may be past the point of mattering now anyway, such is the state of their reputation with voters.
If they continue to fight it, they will become the disenfranchised in their own party.
