I had to chuckle over all the talking heads declaring that it was unconstitutional, without specifically noting what article or amendment the proposal may violate. Shows you how much our elites actually read the Constitution.

It makes me feel better about Trump. He is obviously surrounded by some very bright people.
Did you catch the clause Rush just read about halting immigration? I had been waiting but had to take a call.
Explained that Carter used it in 78... and in fact Carter made Iranian students in US check-in and he deported some of them. Also said immigration was completely shut down during late 50’s for several years.
Or some bright people are managing to dig him out of a hole.... either way it works out good...

entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate. Whenever
the Attorney General finds that a commercial airline has failed to
comply with regulations of the Attorney General relating to requirements
of airlines for the detection of fraudulent documents used by
passengers traveling to the United States (including the training of
personnel in such detection), the Attorney General may suspend the entry
of some or all aliens transported to the United States by such airline.

Isn’t asking terrorists what religious beliefs they have like asking them if they are going to commit acts of terrorism?
Up Canada way we have had this in spades from CBC and CTV (monoliths). We have to deal with the new Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. He made a rash election promise to quickly allow 25,000 "refugees" before December. Then came St Bernardino. Trudeau quickly backtracked and then said only families, women and children would get first consideration. He was then praised for his "courage" in breaking an election promise. I don't know, but Trudeau might have seen the videos of violent "refugees" in Europe. Males of about 18-35 years of age.
Donald Trump has attacked the filthy sewer that political correctness is. Others have been destroyed for just one off cuff statement. They were forced to grovel and near to tears by the media. The old Greek legend comes to mind. That of the cleaning of the Augean stables. Well done the Donald.

After listening to Rush he thinks everything the Donald said is related to his book. According to the book the first statement he makes any time he is negotiating is the most outrageous of all. In this case "close the borders to all muslims" would be the opening salvo in the debate or discussion.
Rush makes excellent sense.
Considering the above all trump did was create an opening dialogue for discussion and debate.
