BREAKING: Trump Likely to be BANNED from Future Republican Debates (Aug 2014)
The Political Insider ^ | 2015-12-08 | The Political Insider

Posted on 12/09/2015 8:45:09 AM PST by WhiskeyX

This report should make Donald Trump supporters angry! While taxpayers are often funding political debates, the Republican Party has the ultimate say over its own events. And while the GOP is supposed to stand for the principles of the Founding Fathers, it can be manipulated by the political establishment which can’t stand Trump’s conservative views.

The real reason why the GOP is focusing on Trump’s threat to run as a 3rd party candidate is it would give them grounds to boot him from future debates. The Republican Party, to protect its interests, is probably willing to boot the front-runner candidate. And they have savvy enough operatives, such as Karl Rove, who are ready to do it…

It turns out this is actually an older story from perhaps august 2015, which showed up again with a 8 December 2015 date. Sorry about that. Still, it demonstrates the attitude of the GOP towards Trump throughout this election cycle.

That would be pretty stupid of them.

I wish all the politicians would get this upset when their muslim friends behead Christians and kill innocent civilians.

That could actually be a good thing. If, and it is a big if, Cruz backs out to have a separate debate with Trump and make it an invitation only affair, inviting Rubio and Carson then...

Trump, Cruz and Carson have the lion’s share of support. Rubio would be forced to go to the alternate debate to remain relevant. He is not so dumb to think anyone wants to watch him, Jeb and Fiorina and the small table kids.

GOPe explodes into irrelevance and the debate among the real candidates can begin.

Very speculative article. GOP is incompetent, not suicidal.

America has been betrayed, these are very sick people. they think it matters if muslim immigrants from screwed up situations are temporarily blocked from coming here.

I despise these elites.

If those stupid sobs alienate Trump, he will run as an independent and either Hillary or Sanders or Biden will be the next President.

And guess what. They will be signing their own death warrant as a political party. Trump runs as an independent he gets my vote and his party gets my support.

The more Trump speaks about issues, the more the public likes him. And the more the establishment seethes. Good. Hope they get a collective stroke - they are all half brain dead anyway.

The Democrat dream is that Trump would bolt the Republican Party and run as an Independent. They know that would ensure the election of Hillary just like Perot got her husband elected over George H.W. Bush. The reason you keep hearing from the media about that possibility is because they want it to happen.

I don’t think they will, but if they did, they would be doing Trump a favor. He is not good in debates, despite the popularity polls that show him winning. He is the worst candidate running to face Hillary or Sanders in a debate.

That’s exactly what would happen.

The guy puts on entire beauty pageants,
a political debate would be a cakewalk.

If Trump is barred from the debates then I’m done with the GOP. I’ll re-register as Whig or Bull Moose.
