The current attacks on Trump are essentially name-calling. That is all the left and GOPe has to offer, since the American public largely agrees with Trump’s positions.
There simply is no solution to this problem that doesn’t by necessity involve consequences that accrue to all adherents to Islam, good and bad.
We can begin by refusing to attach the word “radical” to “Islam”. Trump’s policy does this, and that’s why the reaction to it is so visceral. Radical Islam is not the problem, Islam is the problem, or at least this is the only frame of mind in which we may be able to attack the problem.
Determining which muslims are “good” and which are bad is a distinction, short of having the ability to read minds, that we have not the ability to make.
