FINALLY! Someone who “gets it”. The problems with the government, the progressives, the liberals, the politicians, etc., are symptoms of the underlying disease you cited above. In by opinion, your “bestial view” is right on. There are lots of exceptions, but I doubt they are enough to bring back what has been lost. It would be like trying to sweep back the tide with a broom.
The exceptions must be organized and provide dynamic leaders.
