WASHINGTON â House Speaker Paul Ryan sharply condemned Donald Trump, his partyâs front-runner presidential candidate, on Tuesday, following Trumpâs call to ban all Muslims from entering the United States.
Ryan told members of his party at a closed door meeting that Trumpâs comments are ânot who we are as a partyâ and violate the Constitution, according to Republican Rep. Matt Salmon, who attended the gathering.
So Ryan admits that the GOP is in favor of our destruction.
Thanks for the tip.
LOL!!!
Never made the connection before.
Yep. Three words: OUT OF TOUCH
I agree with Trump’s remarks. I even go further and state since there exists no rational test with which to discriminate between a “Good Muslim” and a “Bad Muslim” they should all be expelled for the safety of all.
Amen brother. We have as much in common with Ryan as we do with an extraterrestrial.
Every time I hear a politician say “That’s not who we are” I want to smack them
Who is more likely to be killed by Islamic Terrorists, your family or Paul Ryan’s?
These people don’t get to tell us who we are when they aren’t part of WE!
....a temporary suspension of immigration by followers of Islam until a better system is in place is “not who we are”?
Really?
How many Jews does Saudi Arabia allow into their nation? Are they our ally? They apparently have a PERMANENT ban on Jews openly worshipping there. Christians too.
Trump isn’t promoting that....he is, as I understand it, talking about a stoppage until we get a better grip on the threat.
By the way, I don’t think his plan as stated will work. Immigration per se would have to be halted, since terrorists would likely lie in order to gain entry.
“Speaker Paul Ryan: Donald Trump comments not âwho we are as a partyâ” unfortunately not because it would mean having a spine which you and the Republican party as a whole do not have Mister Ryno.
Sheesh! these guys make me want to puke!
The corrupt evil in D.C. would endanger every single one of us, your wives, kids, families and parents, to avoid offending Moslems.
Even that stupid wording of “not who we are” reeks of pathetic, pajama-boy liberalism. Might as well add a chorus of “Feelings.”
Viscerally just makes me want to vomit.
Our days are number without some divine interference or a massive reset event. At the rate we are “immigrating” mexicans and foreigners and giving out welfare like water even the red states will be purple before long. My beloved Texas is 10-15 years or so away from becoming Colorado with all the Yankees, foreigners, and Kalifornians moving here.
“Who we are” is getting gunned down at the Christmas Party. Acceptable losses for open border traitors.
Years ago, they called John Jay a “sellout” over his 1794 Jay’s Treaty with England. Ryan takes the word “sellout” to new heights unknown to the ill-informed Republican primary voters.
EXACTLY! And Ryan’s language... “this is not WHO WE ARE...” is proof that he gets his talking points from the same establishment narrative as OBAMA.
The President's authority is statutory (8 USC ç1182: "Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.")
He*s a slick version of Boehner. So the GOP stuck it to us again. At least it*s not a surprise.
You’re right: TX is demographically doomed but may not know it. It’s amazing how Republicans still win here with El Paso, San Antonio, Houston, Austin, Dallas, Brownsville and the Rio Grande all in the Democrat hip pocket.
