Donald J. Trump Statement on Preventing Muslim Immigration
Trump Make America Great Again ^ | Dec 7, 2015 | Donald J Trump

(New York, NY) December 7th, 2015, -- Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country's representatives can figure out what is going on. According to Pew Research, among others, there is great hatred towards Americans by large segments of the Muslim population. Most recently, a poll from the Center for Security Policy released data showing "25% of those polled agreed that violence against Americans here in the United States is justified as a part of the global jihad" and 51% of those polled, "agreed that Muslims in America should have the choice of being governed according to Shariah." Shariah authorizes such atrocities as murder against non-believers who won't convert, beheadings and more unthinkable acts that pose great harm to Americans, especially women.

Mr. Trump stated, "Without looking at the various polling data, it is obvious to anybody the hatred is beyond comprehension. Where this hatred comes from and why we will have to determine. Until we are able to determine and understand this problem and the dangerous threat it poses, our country cannot be the victims of horrendous attacks by people that believe only in Jihad, and have no sense of reason or respect for human life. If I win the election for President, we are going to Make America Great Again." - Donald J. Trump

The basic problem is extrapolating the protection of the constitution to the world.

The congress made laws. The laws need to be enforced.

Right idea.

Difficult to implement.

1. How do you implement a religious test that is effective at weeding out a dedicated terrorist (who may or may not have a fake conversion to another religion)?

2. How do you prevent American citizens (who are muslim) who have travelled abroad from returning? (These might be the ones to worry about the most)

3. How do you prevent American soldiers/sailors/marines who are muslim from returning?

- - -

It would be easier to base restrictions on the country, rather than the religion.

Implement deep restrictions and cut the tourist/visa/immigration numbers to near-zero from countries with significant muslim demographics, and prohibit travel to these countries.

The title of the thread is exactly as it is stated on Trump’s campaign website.

Trump's call to ban Muslim travel into the U.S. coincides with

1. Public Law 414, Immigration and Nationality Act, 8 U.S.C. 1182. Sec. 212 GENERAL CLASSES OF ALIENS INELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE VISAS AND INELIGIBLE FOR ADMISSION; WAIVERS OF INADMISSIBILLITY, (3) (B) (VI) and

2. 8 US Code 2011, ALIENS AND NATIONALITY CHAPTER 12 - IMMIGRATION AND NATIONALITY, SUBCHAPTER III - NATIONALITY AND NATURALIZATION, Part I-Nationality at Birth and Collective Naturalization #1424: Prohibition upon the naturalization of persons opposed to government or law, or who favor totalitarian forms of government.

This will be like his original comments regarding immigration. All sorts of indignation....then more and more folks realize he is right. Then more and more situations proving he is right come to light.

Trump gets stuff done because he doesn’t try to be an incrementalist. He gets the big picture on every subject.....and is well prepared when he wants to be.

I’ll do you one better: How about Mr. Loughtner(sp) after the AZ shootings? This guy even off-ed a federal judge. They were so busy blaming Palin and pushing their gun control agenda that his name went into a black hole.

And what of Dylan Roof? Has this case even had a hearing? jury selection? anything?

And did we ever nail down a motive for the recruitment center shootings in Chattanooga?

Just asking. Strange how key follow-ups on big news stories never really get as much attention as “the agenda”

Trump has always been ahead of the curve in an almost spooky way. Right now his statements may look extreem, which is what he is being critisized for. Jump forward six months and we’ve had a few more San Bernanios (God forbid) or something larger, even Hillary will be calling for what Trump is advocating now.
