Hell is such a wicked place, not merely hot. I might expect they got greeted by a demon with something on the order of “Lucky you! You get to rage at God forever! This fire will help you do it, here!”
More like wailing and gnashing of teeth, separated from God for all of eternity, as you realize that you've made the costliest mistake any person could ever make. Where there is absolutely no hope for a better tomorrow.
Quite sad when you contemplate the enormity of it.
