Obama may think of himself as a citizen of the world, but he was elected President of the United States, not head of a world government, and that does not authorize him to gamble the lives of Americans for the benefit of people in other countries.

Excellent.
This man is brilliant and straight to the point...I love Thomas Sowell.
This is my opinion is the best line in Sowell's excellent column.
SOWELL: “The president struck a familiar chord when he emphasized that we shouldn’t blame all Muslims for the actions of a few. How many people have you heard blaming all Muslims?”
EXCELLENT POINT! Trump should latch onto this catch phrase:
“NOBODY IS BLAMING ALL MUSLIMS!”
Most terrorists are Muslims, that doesn’t mean we think ALL Muslims are terrorists.
Precisely. There is no reason to fly refugees 6,000 miles from their homes unless you have the ulterior motive of destabilizing your own country's social order.
I think that 0bama and most of congress, both dems and reps, should be charged with Depraved Indifference for much of their policies during the last 50 years.
Worth repeating: “Obama may think of himself as a citizen of the world, but he was elected President of the United States, not head of a world government, and that does not authorize him to gamble the lives of Americans for the benefit of people in other countries.”
Simply put, we should not take anybody who will not better our country. I'm not anti-immigrant per se, but we are under no obligation to take anybody if we don't want to.
Exactly right.
Re: The illusion,
Europe had proven that one-sided narrative deadly wrong. And to ignore that willfully is plain dereliction of duty.
Americans elected Obama for a different reason than that of the self-appointed world-changer.
Again, I point out that he has not encountered, nor does he tolerate, a different view point other than his. Obama and his enablers discounted all other views, with full disdain against those people too. Nothing will change, not even another nuclear 9/11.
bump
I didn’t watch him last night, but today I see still shots from the speech.
So, he does the speech from the Oval Office, but stands behind the lectern with the presidential seal on it?
What? Is he so insecure that he has to remind everyone that he’s the President? As if speaking from the Oval was insufficient to accomplish that?
Sheesh.
ISIS has dealt death to Russia, Western Europe, and the United States. You’d think ISIS is insane to call down the wrath of all three on its head. But they think they have nothing to fear with Western Europe paralyzed by multiculturalism, the US led by a largely disbelieving (and in some ways, sympathetic) elite, and both working harder against Russia than against them.
ISIS probably wouldn’t last into 2017 if all three would just work together to crush it.
