When the President of the United States asks the television networks to set aside time for him to broadcast a speech from the Oval Office, we can usually expect that he has something new to say. But President Obama's speech Sunday night was just a rehash of what he has been saying all along, trying to justify policies that have repeatedly turned out disastrously for America and our allies.
This was not a speech about how the Obama administration is going to do anything differently in the future. It was a speech about how Obama's policies were right all along. Obama is one of those people who are often wrong but never in doubt.
The president struck a familiar chord when he emphasized that we shouldn't blame all Muslims for the actions of a few. How many people have you heard blaming all Muslims?
Even if 90 percent of all Muslims are fine people, and we admit 10,000 refugees from the Middle East, does that mean that we need not be concerned about adding a thousand potential terrorists — even after we have seen in San Bernardino what just two terrorists can do?
The first responsibility of any government is to protect the people already in the country. Even in this age of an entitlement mentality, no one in a foreign country is entitled to be in America if the American people don't want them here.
Obama's talk about how we should not make religious distinctions might make sense if we were talking about handing out entitlements. But we are talking about distinguishing between different populations posing different levels of danger to the American people.
When it comes to mattersof life and death, that is no time for the kind of glib, politically correct rhetoric that Barack Obama specializes in.

Not all muslims are terrorists.
But, all terrorists are muslim.
Obama is actively aiding people who want to kill Americans.

Europe had proven that one-sided narrative deadly wrong. And to ignore that willfully is plain dereliction of duty.
Americans elected Obama for a different reason than that of the self-appointed world-changer.
Again, I point out that he has not encountered, nor does he tolerate, a different view point other than his. Obama and his enablers discounted all other views, with full disdain against those people too. Nothing will change, not even another nuclear 9/11.

All Muslims are not terrorists; some just support terrorists. In point of fact, all Muslims follow a terrorist.
I don’t think all Muslims are terrorists but they have all grown up in a cult that teaches them that those who are NOT Muslim deserve to be killed. Those who are NOT killing are also NOT coming out AGAINST killing those who believe differently. Trying to trust a “moderate” Muslim is like trying to trust a man who is the only one of six brothers who has not been convicted of multiple felonies. He might just be better at covering his tracks.

Until someone proves me wrong, I believe ValJ is running this government. Obama only works from 10 AM to 2 PM., if we believe the WH scuttlebutt. It takes longer than this to run the govt anyway.
I didn’t watch him last night, but today I see still shots from the speech.
So, he does the speech from the Oval Office, but stands behind the lectern with the presidential seal on it?
What? Is he so insecure that he has to remind everyone that he’s the President? As if speaking from the Oval was insufficient to accomplish that?
Sheesh.
ISIS has dealt death to Russia, Western Europe, and the United States. You’d think ISIS is insane to call down the wrath of all three on its head. But they think they have nothing to fear with Western Europe paralyzed by multiculturalism, the US led by a largely disbelieving (and in some ways, sympathetic) elite, and both working harder against Russia than against them.
ISIS probably wouldn’t last into 2017 if all three would just work together to crush it.
