NEW YORK (AP) -- By now, the tableau has become tragically familiar: American Muslims standing before a bank of cameras, condemning an attack linked to Islamic extremism.
After the San Bernardino, California, rampage, the local chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations didn't even wait for law enforcement to announce a motive. Just hours after the husband-and-wife shooters were identified as Muslim on Wednesday, the civil rights group held a news conference with the perpetrators' brother-in-law, Farhan Khan.

But many Americans continued to blame Islam itself for extremism. A Pew Research Center survey last year found an increasing share of Americans believe Islam is more likely than other religion to encourage violence among its followers.
Islam is completely incompatable with Western Civilization.
All muslims are required to see shria replace the Constitution. They are lying when they take the oath of citizenship.
Renouncing Islam should be required for entry.
The more devout the muslim, the more likely they are to have Sudden Jihad Syndrome.
Any of them can go off at any time.
Disgusting. It’s okay to not like islam. The left works hard to shield them from any criticism and I’m not sure why.
They should just read and heed my tagline. A lot of us have just about had it with this garbage.
While inside they are bursting with pride and joy. Every muslim is our enemy.
They struggle because of the extremist element does everything they can to muck up the works. They must jettison that bunch once and for all. Myself I don’t think it is possible, it’s too interwoven in the fabric
They should and will condemn it the way it is mandated in the Kuran and that ti s the takiya method. It works to assuage western angst and turn anger away from Mahometans that they might have an easier time preparing the next incident.
According to Pew, every “American” really needs a massive, industrial strength dose of Ex-Lax.
ALL moozlums want to murder you and your family. Some will actively try to do so. Good luck figuring out who is who.
After 9/11 it would have been appropriate for American Muslims to condemn terrorism loudly and often; especially so for their imams. Instead we got ambivalence and equivocation. Many of us now know far more about the tenets and teachings of Islam, so I can understand their present predicament.
Liberals have decided to embrace islam not only for the votes, which is minimal, but also because they, like muslims, hate Christians and Christianity.
Obama struggles with the same thing.
Coincidence?
How devout they are really doesnt count for much. When the Imam says it is time to show that you are not an apostate then you start collecting guns and ammo. I worry just a bit about the doctor I am forced to use with my Medicare. Professionals are as subject to the call as are students and Army majors.
“US Muslims struggle with how they should condemn extremism”
They are in a quandary as they’ve pretty much burned through all their lies at his point, so yes they have to come up with some new, and plausible lies to be able to continue on.
Mrs. RQSR says “if they really believe in condemning “extremism”, why is it a struggle?
With two crossed fingers behind their backs?
Aren’t they still trying to figure out how to condemn 09/11/2001?
Why yes, that are...
Hold a march, compose and promote a loyalty oath, compile a list of radical imams and report them to the FBI.
I understand the principle of taqiyya and all, but the reaction of American Muslims in general is deafening silence, and false claims of victimhood in particular.
So clearly there isn't even taqiyya.
âUS Muslims struggle with how they should condemn extremismâ
Yep. Pretty difficult for them to condemn that which their founder said they should do.
It is impossible for any muslim to actually condemn violence, since to do so is to condemn mohammad, and curse allah. All else is taqyyia.
