Be A Refusenik!

In the old Soviet Union, there was a class of citizen known as the Refusenik. In Russian, the word was отказник, pronounced 'otkaznik'. There were two definitions for this label: One, people who were not allowed to emigrate -- especially Russian Jews -- and two, people who willfully disobeyed laws as a form of protest.
As America careens into a fascist state most reminiscent of the former Soviet Union, it will be necessary and useful to adopt the techniques of the oppressed citizenry of that empire. As free speech is squelched via 'hate speech' laws, we will need to adopt the Samizdat model of distributing free information and opinions (more on that in another editorial soon). As the nationâs laws are slowly ratcheted down to control and harass people -- rather than uplift and uphold the Constitution, and remove barriers to interaction -- it will be necessary to become a Refusenik.
This petulant man-child, this President Stompy-foot, needs to be told "NO". In a firm voice, and with no anger whatsoever, simply tell him "NO". I promise you it is not a word he has heard often....or often enough.
Some of us will suffer greatly, in the Refusenik Movement. I expect to be one of those, since I am launching the concept. I expect to be 'made an example of'. I do not care. Some things are more important than life itself....such things as liberty, such things as the heritage of our country, such things as our Constitution and Bill of Rights.
- Obama plans sweeping changes to the Brady Act and the background check system. He will essentially rewrite the law to call anyone who sells a certain number of guns a year, a dealer who needs to run background checks on buyers. More ominously, he may twist the law and insert legislation that is simply not there, and say that anyone who sells a gun without owning it for a year is a dealer. This is utterly unconstitutional legislation-writing on the part of the Executive Branch. This back-door registration will allow Obama to more easily track firearms for eventual confiscation.
I will not comply. I will be a Refusenik. I urge everyone to do the same.
- Obamacare was forced down our throats by a series of treacherous Senate and House moves, and upheld by a compromised and likely blackmailed Chief Justice Roberts. It requires a penalty for those who do not insure.
I am covered by my company, but if I was not, I would not comply. I would be a Refusenik. I would urge everyone to do the same.
- The aptly-named Attorney General Lynch has declared that we may not speak harshly about Muslims in the wake of our first ISIS shooting attack on domestic soil. She has promised the full weight of the Federal government will ply prosecution on those who violate this utterly unconstitutional demand. Leaving aside for a second the lack of any law to prosecute a person who speaks against Muslims, this is a clear and direct violation of the First Amendment.
I will not comply. I will be a Refusenik. I urge everyone to do the same.
I could go on, and name any number of outrageous, tyrannical, and unconstitutional efforts this utterly uncontrolled administration is attempting, but I see no point in iterating each one. The concept is clear. Refuse to comply. Be a Refusenik. Urge others to do the same.
This shall be the symbol of the Refusenik Movement:
Include it wherever you post. It is our modern-day Gadsen Flag.

I wise man once said to me, “There is Gods Law, there is Natural Law and there is Ohm’s Law. The oppressed shalt throw refuse in the face of the oppressor and they shalt be called refuseniks.”

I kinda like this. Does anyone know how many Ohms a red, white and blue resister would be?
Also, I'd love to have a copy of the black/white resister symbol as a SVG image, so it can be easily scaled.
I've been using this PNG for a while...

If I get < 100 posts on a thread, it is — to my eyes — a failure.
I failed you all, and I am so sorry.

If I get < 100 posts on a thread, it is - to my eyes - a failure. I hate when you use math symbols and stuff like that. If I was a young girl, I would want to be your groupie (sniff)...I'd bring bacon to the party! Bump.
