The New York Times is running an editorial on its front page on Saturday, the first time the paper has done so since 1920, calling for greater regulation on guns in the aftermath of a spate of mass shootings.
The editorial, headlined âThe Gun Epidemic,â describes it as âa moral outrage and a national disgrace that people can legally purchase weapons designed specifically to kill with brutal speed and efficiency.â It suggests drastically reducing the number of firearms, and âeliminating some large categories of weapons and ammunition.â
âIt is not necessary to debate the peculiar wording of the Second Amendment,â it reads. âNo right is unlimited and immune from reasonable regulation.â

Gun debate yields a one page free propaganda statement for dems.
Marxists are getting desperate, they can sense that their time is running out.
Oh my, and one fun thing to do is to log onto Classmates.com and look through the yearbooks that have been put up for viewing online and see the gun clubs that both the boys and girls participated in back in the day (I even saw one for the Buffalo, NY high school that a friend of mine went to back in the 1970s). Using the NY Times logic as a guide, there must have been a mass shooting practically every day back then given the common presence of such clubs.
You have to really pity the people who will actually go and buy a copy of that rag and read that kind of garbage.
Nice picture.
Bolt open, finger off trigger.
Standard rules for kids in the house.
NYT taking a bit of a gamble here.
I look forward to their editorial fizzling with no effect.
Who cares what they think? They believe that Obama is an eloquent speaker and that Bruce Jenner is a girl.
300,000,000 guns in the hands of private citizens. I would love these little PJ Boys from Slate, Salon, Daily Beast, Mother Jones, NYT, and all the rest of these sniveling, spoiled, Bourgeoisie brats come and take them.
Before any laws are considered, perhaps politicians who believe in banning guns should first set examples and do away with their armed bodyguards to show us they truly believe they are doing the correct thing....
Change your tag line... And
Good luck with that editorial establishment putzes.
As long as Americans realize Muslims would just use airplanes, cars, bombs, etc., they see no reason to clamp down on guns. We know the main threat is Islam (with unassimilated brigands a close second) - and we know our government is actually playing for those other teams.
I have 380+12+9+5.56 bodyguards.
Dear New York Times,
You are the very first on the list.
Love,
Laz

They’ll crash the economy next.
