There is something to be said for closure, especially on a level of this event that grabbed national attention and concern - also much maligned by news media as being something it was not.
One of the things that really criked me off about Obama’s so-called “He got Bin Landen” meme is that we never got to see the trophy photo that resolves the issue once and for all.
It seems to me that a picture of this dead Jihadina won’t see the public light of day - out of ‘concern’ that it might piss of Muslims or something. Couple that with the likelihood that if there really was GoPro footage, we’ll never see that either.
And years down the road when somebody makes a comment about what transpired this week will be pooh-poohed or called outright lies. Just like the stuff with Trump and the celebrating NJ Muslims.
It isn’t up to the Media, nor the police, FBI, CIA, DHS or any of them to hide information that should be public. It was a public crime against the public. It is time for the government and media to stop thinking for us, stop deciding what’s “best for us” and stop censoring information.
