The Republican establishment is running out of time.
It's Dec. 4, 58 days until the Iowa caucuses and voters begin putting their votes where their polls have been for months. Donald Trump has led the field for basically the entire second half of the year -- a lead that continues in a new poll out on Friday from CNN/ORC. Donald Trump hasn't trailed in CNN/ORC polls since June; his support and lead now are the biggest he's seen in their polls yet.
If Donald Trump were suddenly to vanish, the news for the establishment doesn't get much better. In second is Ted Cruz, who's fought the establishment from the inside for years. In third -- and still sinking -- is Ben Carson. The three have the combined support of 2 out of every 3 Republican voters.
That support is pretty even among the groups that were large enough to include in the pollsters' demographic break-outs. There's one remarkable exception: Education level. Trump is much more strongly supported by those with no college degree than he is by those with one. Cruz leads that latter group by three points (over Marco Rubio). Trump leads among those with no degree by 34.

No one else has credibility with the voters on trade or immigration. Nobody.
For me it's not just trade and immigration.
If Roger Ailes had hair he would pull it out.
Cruz appears to be taking support away from Carson which is why he is number two and Carson has slipped to number three.
However, Trump continues to gain support and increase his lead. He is pretty much unstoppable at this point and now he's turning on the afterburners. Every single night, Trump has some kind of event going on and he's all over the country. His attacks are shifting more towards Shrillary and Bernie and less on his GOP counterparts, who he is leaving in the dust. This tells me that Trump believes he has the nomination all but sewed up - but based on his activity, he's not resting on his laurels and taking it for granted.
Shrillary is nowhere to be seen. She's in "run out the clock" mode and I think she has spent most of the past few months sleeping. She is so sleepy.
Trump’s energy belies whatever age he is suppose to be!
It’s real too!
He keeps going from strength to strength!
GO TRUMP
He’s winning because he projects an image of strength.
You can win all the Lincoln-Douglas debates you want (Cruz), you can fill a reservoir with your sweat (Rubio), and you can be as nice and soft-spoken as you like (Carson), but these will never beat an image of strength and self-confidence.
As an experiment - let’s see what happens we we yell for Mr. T to promise JUSTICE and names who will eventually find same. Mt. T: WTP are with you, not only for the fact we agree with you on many issues, but the possibility that WE AT LAST WILL SEE JUSTICE which has long been over due.
GO TRUMP! GO CRUZ! ~ YOU WIN OR WE LOSE!!
To hell with the nomination. President Trump is around the corner.
I totally agree with your analysis.
I would add that Trump is bringing up over and over and over Hillary’s “energy” level.
That is codespeak for her health. I suspect Hillary has some very very serious health issues.
Notice how Trump is releasing his medical records. He is going to clobber Hillary over the head with that. This is Hillary’s Achilles’ heel. He will ask her to release them and she will resist and resist and resist and make that she is unfit obvious.

I suggest that we not be too hard on the Jeb Bush campaign (not said in jest) as he struggles along at three-percent in the National Polls.
Jeb knows something that we clearly do not ...
Seventy-five MILLION dollars can buy a LOT of “happiness”, especially the “well, at least I got elected as a Florida U.S. Senator” happiness in 2018 ...
People who donated that $ 100 million to Jeb Bush KNOW about Marco Rubio’s sex sacandal ... and the rest of the dirt on young Marco Rubio.
After all, these ultra-rick folk may be greedy, but they’re NOT stupid.
Jeb Bush clearly believes that an “Act of God” will REMOVE Donald Trump from the presidential primaries BEFORE 15 March 2016.
“Clearly”.
Qui Bono ?
Jeb Bush, Hillary Clinton.
Two very powerful establishment enemies.
Lethal enemies.
I’ll leave it at that.
Everyone who reads these comments KNOW that I’m (sadly) correct.

What were they thinking lining up behind another Bush after all we went through with the last one?

Yes, Bush not the best president ever but I consider the alternative choices we had (Gore & Kerry) and I have no regrets about voting for W., twice.
Hey, everyone in New York City, Washington DC and Hollywood, California knows that if you didn't go to college, you are a banjo-picking moron who works on cars, cleans stuff, fixes air conditioners and water pipes, waits on tables, etc., etc.
You know, the "little people" both parties have been screwing over for the past 50 years or so by sending their jobs to Japan and China, welcoming illegal aliens, and making them poor American schlubs train their Hindu Indian replacements.
I can't wait for the little people to elect Donald Trump!!!
Heheh. Nicely put!
When the American people see 40 Americans killed and wounded at their Christmas Party and then hear the media law enforcement and the President say that we need to disarm American Citizens.......THEY VOTE FOR DONALD TRUMP.
