So are the Sh*tcargo blacks going to vote Republican? Are they going to vote for a real law and order guy that demands police behave professionally?
If they don’t this is all just drama queens in black face
No credible Republican has been on the mayoral ballot since roughly the 1950’s; if Rahm was going to be shown the door (as he so richly deserves to be) it would have happened in the Democrat primary, in which he was challenged by a Hispanic who was a borderline Marxist (and we know how some of those Hispanics deal with borders).
Chicago mayoral politics has devolved to power struggles involving the moneyed interests who profit from the crony capitalism in city hall, machine bosses who maintain their power behind the scenes, union thugs who want to maintain their rent-seeking, and jockeying for table scraps among the “leaders” of the black and Hispanic communities. Rahm has excelled in cultivating the business community and the machine bosses; he couldn’t give two shiites about the blacks and the Hispanics - he just does what he has to to keep them quiet. Hopefully, they won’t be quiet much longer.
Any Republcan, Tea Party or conservative influence in the city is as good as dead - almost everyone with those inclinations fled to the ‘burbs decades ago. Either the blacks and the Hispanics will wake up and figure out they’ve been played for chumps, or Chicago will turn into Detroit.
I’m betting on the latter.
In a tribal society the members will not select a leader from a perceived other tribe, no matter how incompetent or brutal the prospects are for any leader they select from their own tribe. In the case of the inner city Negro and non-Negro welfare population they perceive themselves as the subjects of a ruler who must be from the right tribe and who will not make them work for a living and who will give them their sustenance. If the ruler is particularly cruel then they may overthrow him to replace him with another who still has absolute right to treat them as he will but it is hoped that he will treat them better.
If they manage to bring down Emmanuel and replace him with a Negro mayor and somehow get an all Negro city government and police force we will hear no more protest about police killing street people and the city government could run a Pol Pot operation without any complaint. The ruler would be truly of the tribe.
