As the holiday gathering got underway Wednesday morning, Syed Farook joined dozens of his colleagues from San Bernardino Countyâs Public Health Department. Farook seemed quiet during the early hours of the event, then vanished just as a group photo was about to be taken.
Shorty afterward, gunfire erupted at the Inland Regional Center where the employees filled a conference room. Within hours, law enforcement sources identified a man named Syed Farook as a suspect in the massacre and said he was shot to death in a gun battle with officers.
Police officials released little information about the suspects, including where they worked. And the sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the case was ongoing, did not provide any details about the suspect other than his name.
Co-workers told The Times that they were shocked to hear Farookâs name linked to the shooting. Two health department employees who were in the bathroom when the bullets began to fly said Farook was quiet and polite, with no obvious grudges.
They said Farook had traveled to Saudi Arabia and returned with a new wife he met online.

Even if the food wasn’t halal, it isn’t a legitimate reason to shoot your co-workers dead and maim others for life.
Germans have long been the largest ethnic group in America and probably a major reason why America is great.”
My German family came here in 1709 and fought in the Revolution. I have read that, but for one legislator gone fishing when the vote was taken to make English the American language, German would have been the official language.
You know how those Americans are .... How many movies do they have to make out there in La-La Land before it begins to sink in how nasty we are to the poor Amish? </s>
Kid you not, The Killing Fields was on TV again the other night in Houston, and this time I noticed that one of the American characters, Sid Schanberg (of the NYT), said it twice for sure, maybe more, that the reason the Khmer Rouge were such savages, such slope-browed murderers, was because the USAF bombed them in their jungle redoubts so much.
"Blowback", you see. Said it twice, maybe thrice. Pathetic. Oh, and did I mention decadent?
Of course, then we'll have to help them kill all the Jews and Buddhists.
No, Russia doesn’t bomb all the terrorists. Only the ones bothering Iran’s client state. Oh, I didn’t realize, you and Obama don’t consider Iran terrorists, you and Obama think they are good guys. I guess that makes it true.
Oh, wait, Russia is siding with Muslim Azerbaijanis against Christian Armenians? Oh, wait, Putin now has agreements with Chechen terrorists? We best ignore all that.
Indeed.
And there we have it, somebody claims the party made him do it.
The nature of the party was known in advance to the employees. Almost to a certainty. Did he just have armour, a pipe bomb, and weapons stashed in his car and respond spontaneously? Doesn’t make sense. There is a thread showing Dec 2 is some commemorative martyr day for Islam. This was planned to coincide with that date and to attack a Christmas party.
Everyone knows the USA is awesome because of the Irish.
Up next: The linkage back to Amish in straw hats, and how Rush was driving the SUV but got away.
He attended the same party last year without shooting the place up.
That was before the clarion call.
“We have isis contained.”

I'm guessing it's because our halfrican goathumper-in-chief is a muslim too. Odingo smooths the way for his brothers.
The la la land liberals conveniently ignore the obvious as usual. Workplace violence gives the image of someone getting extremely angry and arming himself to kill supervisors or fellow workers. This is a case where someone had the help of others to carry out the “workplace violence.” And, this particular version of “workplace violence” included the possession of explosives, and a shootout with the police at a location other than the workplace. That’s quite a LARGE workplace! And here is something unique to the “workplace violence” meme. If he had a grievance against someone he worked with, what possible grievance did those who assisted him have against the people he worked with? What is THEIR excuse to help him kill 14 people and injure 17 more? How do they justify a claim of resentment of the people he worked with?
I married a Canadian.
If we had married outside the country, she would not have been allowed into the USA for two years. TWO YEARS.
The fiancé visa still took months and money under ideal conditions.
Depending on how long the “engagement” lasted, he could have applied for a fiancé visa in advance of their “wedding.”
