The assailants who attacked a San Bernardino office building Wednesday morning killed at least 14 people and left another 14 wounded, the city's police chief said.
They may have opened fire on a holiday party being held by county employees, federal law enforcement sources and a witness told the Los Angeles Times.
A person who was inside the building also told The Times that the shooting may have happened during a holiday party, but declined to be identified or comment further.
The shooting took place in a building that is open to the public, Nelson said.
Federal law enforcement sources, who requested anonymity because the investigation is active and ongoing, told The Times that the group holding the party, rather than the center, may have been targeted.

Questions I have about rumors. The Hanukkah Jewish holiday begins this Sunday December 6th. Was it a Jewish party prior to Hanukkah? Also heard that a building in the area is Jewish owned. Could there be a link of Arabs targetting Jews? Like so many others, I know nothing about what is going on other than a mass shooting.
Albuquerque isn’t too far from San Berdoo.
So, I’m pretty sure the only way this nudged climate change off the headlines would be to call for tighter (in Cali?!) restrictions on firearms.
I know you are being sarcastic, but no, they aren’t. And in some parts of CA with pro 2A sheriffs concealed carry permits are easy to get.
I’m going to go home and make some sausage balls.
Mmmmm Gooood!!!
The name âFarooq Saeedâ was gleaned from San Bernardino police scanner traffic, which can be notoriously unreliable. Some were circulating an article from a website called WeaselZippers.com, which says it is âscouring the bowels of the Internet,â that said the suspectâs name âs âFarooq Saeed,â based on scanner traffic. Notorious hacker, âTh3j35t3r,â also posted the name to his 70,000 followers.
how is information gleaned from a police scanner thought to be deemed unreliable I have to wonder?
Hannity had an FBI guy on who said it was definitely terrorism but could not confirm if it was muzzie or domestic
Well they manned up and picked a tough target to attack. Real men. I hope they put them in the back of the Freddie Gray van for a ride.
611 miles by air, 745 by car.
If they can blame a guy who made a youtube video for the Beghazi murders, this is admissible too.
I had to put it on CNN instead of FOX. Shep SMITH is on a running rant critical of the cops. At least BLITZER can carry on a conversation without getting hysterical.
My remote is lock onto Fox, but I went to CNN. Thanx for the wake up call.
“Farooq Saeed”
White Christian Tea Partiers and a lack of sufficient gun control in California to blame. Actually saw this on some leftist sites I track.

Christmas Party Targeted?
Will Obama want to ban Christmas parties?
I agree, there’s something missing here. If it was one shooter I would think lone nutjob, but this was clearly planned and executed by a group that knew what they were doing. Could it be they were after one specific person there for a specific reason, and killed a bunch of people to cover the motive? That’s the only thing I can think of that makes sense. I’m thinking gang related, maybe drug cartels, since they seem professional.
Where's John McClane when you need him?
I would think that there may have been multiple parties who heard the guys name mentioned.
“Soft target”? Just about every public venue in California is as soft as an egg freshly dropped from a hen’s rear end.
Here in Hoosierland, just about any public place: movie theater, restaurant, grocery store, church, tavern, even schools (state law allows having a gun in your vehicle if you’re there picking up your kid, etc.)—if something similar happened here, there would be at least a handful of armed citizens not only shooting back but making head shots.
Farouq Saeed sounds like a good old boy from down home Texas!

Yep, we had several Farouqs, when I was a kid going to a small school in southern Missouri back during the 50s and early 60s.
Shootings by Muslims aren’t terrorism, just “workplace violence.”
