While I hate to quote the NY Times, Here it is:

“Donald J. Trump said Saturday that he would order surveillance of “certain mosques” to combat terrorism after the Paris attacks and claimed to have watched as “thousands and thousands of people were cheering” while the World Trade Center towers fell on Sept. 11, 2001.”

Yes, that is an exact quote.

Ok thanks. This is my point though. Apparently, as far as I can see, he didn’t say “thousands in New Jersey cheered” he just said “thousands cheered”. Surely thousands around the world cheered so when Donald Trump said what the Times quoted him as saying, he wasn’t incorrect.

I’m not a Trumper I’m just trying to get to the bottom of this and I really don’t support Trump (right now), so I’m pretty objective here, but to me this seems like another manufactured controversy on the part of the MSM to distract from the truth we all know, which is that thousands around the world did cheer on 9/11, and some of them were in NJ.
