It’s idiots like these that gives Hillary and the DNC free reign over all of us. Some “litmus test” that so-called “conservatives” refuse to get behind. Whether it was Romney and his Mormon roots, or someone else; they never ask “is the DNC candidate a better choice?”. Often times, you hold your nose, and pull the lever.
I held my nose and voted for McCain, I held my nose and voted for Dole.
Both were losers, but; IMHO - both were better than the DNC option we got instead.
IMHO, Trump is a welcome breathe of fresh air. He may not be the best, most conservative candidate that the country has ever seen. But, he has the b@lls to say what he, and many other americans feel in their heart. I don’t think he can be bought, which is more than you can say for 99.9% of the members found in Congress.
“He may not be the best, most conservative candidate that the country has ever seen. But, he has the b@lls to say what he....”
IMHO (and meaning you no disrespect) Mr. Trump isn’t even remotely conservative. He just says the “right things.” I don’t believe he really means half of what he says and I cannot take him as being serious. He is a consummate showman and entertainer; that is undeniable. I think it is a great mistake that so many “conservatives” are supporting him. However, I won’t belittle anyone that does support him as it has proven to be counterproductive in changing any minds.
IMO Senator Cruz is the best choice (and ready to be CinC, which Mr. Trump is not IMO) and would easily beat Hillary if Mr. Trump wasn’t sucking all the air out of the room and standing in Senator Cruz’s way.
Mr. Trump has done the service of getting people to speak frankly, but that in itself is not a good reason, IMO, to give him the party nomination. IMO Mr. Trump says many of the “right things”, but he is the “wrong messenger.”
