Mostly here on FR, the few Trump supporters I do actually know seem are friendly enough, but they also seem to be fence sitters when you get down to it, they love his talk, but when you get down to things substance they just always seem to circle back to his being forthright in his speech or that he is rich. They don’t seem to have anything more or deeper than that, so I wouldn’t say that they were ardent supporters.

I like him because he exposed the Elitists that have possession of both political parties. I like him because he made the bias of the press so obvious that even the autistic get it.

Well I think you’ll find supporters of various candidates falling into a range of categories
with rude being one of them. I don’t take that very seriously as they are just passionate,
don’t know you per se, and are operating behind a screen.

Anyway thanks for your response.

Yes you will find supporters of candidates falling into a range of categories as with any group of people, it is the
range where the percentages fall that make a difference.

There is a point wherein supporters can be a candidates worse enemy they can ‘love’ the candidate to death. Ron Paul supporters are good examples of supporters that hurt. And the Trump supporters on FR are giving them a run for the money.

Operating behind the scenes? Are you kidding?

You commented on the Rubio-Carson supporters. I agree on most of their support going to Cruz.

Taking it further...
As some of the other candidates drop out, will Trump pick up very many of their voters?

Paul-—Trump started out a debate by questioning if Paul should even be on the stage.
Bush-—Trump has called him low energy and brought up 9-11 and Bush 43 in his attacks on Jeb
Kasich-—Trump won’t get any of his voters.
Fiorina-—Trump made fun of her face.
Huckabee-—Trump and Huckabee haven’t fought...but IF Huckabee’s support is from a lot of Christian conservatives, will Trump get a lot of Huckabee’s voters?
Graham-—Trump said he would “beat his brains out in SC”
Christie-—Trump won’t get many of Christie voters.
Carson-—Trump has made fun of his childhood memories...in effect made fun of Carson’s “religious experience”. And threw out the term child molester while discussing Carson. I doubt Trump gets much of Carson voters. If I was a Carson supporter, NO way would I vote for Trump.

That pretty much leaves Rubio, Cruz, and Trump left in the race.
You commented on Rubio.
If Rubio drops out I see most of his voters going to Cruz.

If Trump is in the race only to take out the GOP establishment candidates, then he is doing a GREAT job!

If he is trying to build a majority of support in the republican primaries, I don’t see how he gets there...unless he wins in a 3 person race.

Looks like mostly lefties, and deep Washington insiders.

Maybe the voting was really a hit list!

I tend to agree with your assessment of effects.

It is readily apparent that Cruz stands to benefit from all of the others’ negatives an foibles.

He’s going to be a constant target of their negative campaigning ads. That will ultimately be a big positive for him, as negative ads usually work in reverse.

Perhaps that is part of his strategy.

One of the major reason is that Trumper supporters have been so overwhelming obnoxious that many will refuse to consider Trump despite his saying all the right things because a majority of his supporters have been so overtly rude and condescending that they won’t be bullied into voting for Trump.

You said that with a straight face too.
