Jones wasn’t 21 so I can’t see how he ‘possessed’ a handgun legally. Don’t have a problem with the outcome of the engagement. Shows the stupidity of the handgun 21 years cutoff.
It is not illegal to posses a handgun from 18 years old to 21 years old.
It is illegal to purchase a handgun from a federally licensed dealer until the person is 21 years old.
It is one of those stupid quirks in firearms law.
