BRAHMS: SONGS OF MARY, Op. 22

This is young Brahms -- clean shaven and chain smoking cigarettes -- when he was the director of a small amateur choral society whose slogan was "Perfect or nothing." He set seven folk poems from the Renaissance about Mary for a capella chorus.
