No nonsense about it. Even if it’s “just for 10 seconds” you don’t fly armed planes over somebody else’s airspace without permission, ever. It’s an act of war. And this wasn’t the first incident. The Turks SHOULD have shot it down, that’s the correct response to repeated violations of your air space.
By that standard, Russia has every right to shoot down our planes over Syria. They are after all there with the permission of the Syrian government, we aren’t. Nor is Turkey, who send air and ground forces into Syrian territory.
So... do you think no one has ever done that before ?
Ret. Lt. Gen. McInerney doesen’t agree with you and he oversaw hundreds if not thousands of airspace violations by the Russians.
