Hubbub resumes. Thanksgiving is already in the rearview mirror for many presidential hopefuls meandering back on the campaign trail following their respective family feasts. Things get particularly busy by Sunday, when the candidates will go scrambling, willy-nilly, for voter attention in battleground states. But that's next week.
For now, Republican hopeful Donald Trump has the most high-profile event this weekend. He will be staging a jumbo rally at a big arena in Sarasota, Florida, followed by another on Monday at a Georgia coliseum, followed by yet another Tuesday at a New Hampshire athletic club, followed by still one more on Wednesday -- this one staged at some fairgrounds in Virginia, not far from the nation's capital.
Sen. Ted Cruz is also on a busy schedule. He tours Iowa this weekend with Rep. Louie Gohmert at 15 different events, including a stop in Tama to eat taco pizza and another at the Crooked Antler Lodge in Van Horne. Mr. Cruz will be in Virginia by Monday.

As you well now, that video is nearly three years old.
Trump owns a 757, not a 777. At least not yet.
I think he is vying for a 747, but he won’t be the owner.
Do you have a newer video where he says he is against legal status for illegals?
Thanks for the correction. My first flight ever was on a Boeing 707 and even in 1960’s that bird flew at 600 mph+.
If you can't find it on FR, it will be on his website.
I had flown on Constellations and a DC-3, I think, and remember my first jet flight with awe. Propeller aircraft at takeoff were so slow in comparison the jets, the jets seemed like an E-ticket ride at Disney. And they flew so much higher! At night, you could easily make out car headlights on the roads below, but the jets went so high, it was no way.
Yeah, I flew in a 707 when I was 10 Years Old, the first time I was ever on a Plane.
It was quite a different experience back then. On the Flight back home I was by myself and the Stewardesses treated me like I was the only Passenger. Memories...
Please kindly put me on your ping list. Thank you so much in advance. :)
Then who am I thinking of, a latino type, who is constantly beating tbe drum for amnesty, and hates Trump like a rattlesnake? I must be having a senior moment.
Luis Gutiérrez, rat congress idiot from Illinois.
Luis Guitierrez, rat congress idiot from Illinois.
I read his plan. It sounded good - until I tried to figure out his position on the illegals already here. It is quite vague.
It says he can use deportation along with other means. Other? Like what? Anything other than them leaving is amnesty. ‘Other’ could mean citizenship as well.
Since he was for amnesty 3 years ago and hasn’t said anything much in this campaign until VERY recently, I don’t know where he stands.
Other than the Club for Growth, one of his donors, may be calling the shots.
I’m impressed. But Trump needs to take off some time for the Holidays too. We want him rested and happy for the homestretch - that said, I totally trust his judgement on how he chooses to run this race...
Correct. Every rich donor wants the cheap labor express, every GOPe wants the cheap labor express, and therefore every candidate who gets big campaign cash must push for the cheap labor express. That is why Cruz was forced to push for five times more H1-B visa's.
Rubio.
How you could confuse the two is beyond me.
Excuse me all to pieces, but while Rubio IS a weaseling pro-amnesty Rino, too; I’m SURE it is Goehmert who has been saying a wall is an atrocity, and that we need MORE immigrants from Mexico, and who had a cow a month ago when Trump said that ALL the illegal non-citizens must go back, and come in legally through proper channels.
And yes, I’m still flummoxed that Cruz would have any truck with him. It’s Louis Goehmert. IIRC, Goehmert was all bent out of shape when Trump threw Whore-hay whatzisface out of a rally some time back. Deliver me from politicians!
You may be right. I didn’t think of him.
I may still be mistaken. Someone else suggested that it was Luis Guitterez I was thinking of. If I’m wrong about Gohmert I’ll stand corrected.
Then who am I thinking of, a latino type, who is constantly beating tbe drum for amnesty, and hates Trump like a rattlesnake? I must be having a senior moment. You are thinking of Luis V. Gutierrez (D-IL-4) in the U.S. House.
Louie Gohmert (R-TX-1) is arguably the most principled, and staunchly conservative member in the U.S. House.
