Republican presidential contender Donald Trump has been criticised for mocking a disabled New York Times reporter.
Mr Trump performed an impression of Serge Kovaleski, who suffers from a congenital joint condition, at a rally.
He has used a 2001 article by Mr Kovaleski to back up widely disputed claims that "thousands" of Muslims in New Jersey celebrated the 9/11 attacks.
The New York Times called Mr Trump's actions "outrageous".

>>No I want a candidate who can make a reasoned defense of his views in light of the constitution. Trump doesn’t appear to be able to do that, and comes across as a punk.
Stop listening to sound bites and perhaps do some reading and his positions will become very clear. His speeches are for the people who respond emotionally. His writings are for the thinkers.
>>Nice personal attack. Really going to draw people to your guy with that.
It wasn’t designed to draw people to “my” guy. (BTW, “my” guy is Cruz, but he lacks the drive to win, so I have to go with the winner because America needs a fighter more than a 2nd place gentleman.)
It was designed to show the utter futility of your position, which is fighting a political battle like its still 1980.
Another good rule of thumb is if the media says the sun will shine, pack an umbrella. The media is ascribing thoughts to Trump. I have yet to meet a psychic reporter.
Because he would get steamrolled. (See Romney). “Gentlemen” ain’t gonna win this war with the left. The media is enemy number one and he needs to continue eviscerating them. The people understand and they are with him.
How on earth would Trump know what this guy looks like? For God’s sake, the article was written in 2001! Did you watch the video? He was imitating the nervous gestures of someone who was just outed and having a little meltdown. It was funny and inoffensive.
You are the same folks who got all hysterical, probably, when Rush imitated Michael Fox - when he was unaware of his illness.
And personally, Charles Krauthammer can take all the knocks available. After all, libs call him Dr. Strangelove - who he does resembles slightly.
Here’s the video of him saying this exact quote at a rally in Birmingham, Alabama, on Sept. 21. Or is this a Donald Trump impersonator?

Yup. Another gentleman loser. Enough is enough.
It depends on what the meaning of thousands and thousands is.
Whenever I see someone say, “I used to be for”. I look at the history of posts. You are the first one who is telling the truth. I am sorry that the Ft Dodge, IA, remarks turned you against Trump. However if you think he was mocking Kovalevski’s problem you are wrong. He was mocking Kovalevski’s double dealing in the article about 9-11. Besides, Kovalevski has been a long antagonist of Sarah Palin, and in part, that also added fuel to the fire as he has a tendency to stand up for people who attack his friends as well.
Also, I am curious. What do you, personally, think happened to the supposed video of “thousands and thousands of people” (Trump’s words) cheering as the World Trade Center towers came tumbling down?
I have watched ten or a dozen or Trump’s speeches all the way through.
Trump ALWAYS does that spastic thing, and makes that identical face when he is ridiculing dishonest or stupid people.
This is a manufactured “gotcha” based on previous knowledge of this Trump style of ridicule. Someone realized that Trump could be maliciously framed by this.
This is that dreary leftist trick of making someone toxic, trying to get people embarrassed and cowed into not wanting to be associated with the target.
My comments were about the Columbus speech as you will see if you go back and read the, I also looked at the Stephanapoulos interview with Trump. I had not yet seen the quote from the Birmingham speech. I’m reviewing that speech now to find the time marks for the quote.
FReepmail.
Hey BBC, take your Brit white faggotry and kiss my American Ass!

>> Why doesnât trump just stop with the mocking and move on in a more appropriate manner. Like a gentleman <<
Never will happen. Dream on.
Romney and McCain were perfect gentlemen. Modern politics is a barroom brawl. I’ll leave the math to you.
It says there were numbers of people celebrating and others holding tailgate style parties to celebrate.
This is just one article. There are others, but you can just keep your head up your Obama hole and not believe it. I really don’t care.
Andrew Jackson was considered a lout, also...
>>The GOPe want a gentleman loser who will lose graciously to the villains, traitors and savages who are destroying America.
The GOPe and its useful idiots would rather see a Progressive Democrat in the WH than no Progressive at all. The Globalist agenda requires a Prog in the WH who will circumvent Congress. Its all about the regulations now. Laws are immaterial in the bureaucrat-run state. The Republican-”controlled” Congress proves this.
