I think that part of it is that Rush is very in awe of anybody with money. I remember when Romney ran, Rush couldn’t stop gushing about what a “decent” man he was and how he was a model for us all. Both Romney and Trump were born into wealth, of course, and used their contacts to make more, hardly a rags to riches American achievement story!

It’s a lot easier to go from riches to rags. Just a keeping riches story is significant today.

Trump turned a degree in finance and a million into billions that’s hardly being born into wealth. He could have went to a bank for that money but instead he went to his father, that’s pretty damn common. I turned a degree in Petroleum engineering and 100,000 (yep came from dear old pop, with interest) into a oil and gas business with a total of 72 wells and interests in 41 others. Would you make the same claim about me, was I born into wealth? Your comment sounds like Obama”s “You didn’t build that speech”.
