No chance of beating HilLIARy??
Gosh...um... yeah, I guess that is why they want Trump to fail in the primaries. Because he will be too easy for them to beat.
Good plan
LOL. I guess running at less that 5% is “second tier” now.
This is actually a fairly accurate assessment of Silver who is indeed overrated on a number of fronts.
Silver is a Beltway lizard who benefitted from hyped up marketing about his prowess with the polls. Polls are a commodity sold during campaign seasons. Therefore, it is expected that a mythology would evolve about certain ‘seers’.
It’s all a scam.
All polls are invalid today. The ones that come close are the result of the ‘luck of the draw’.
Luntz is going off the rails and saying the same. Trump 4% Others 6% Undecided 90%
Ziegler is sad. He’s a Cali-forny type who thinks only the GOPe like Rubio or Fiorina can win.
Very overrated. Lib Silver sticks is head in his rear thinking Trump will disappear.
“Liberal Media darling and alleged prediction guru Nate Silver says...”
Whatever it is he says, everybody is supposed to believe it is so because he’s a liberal, and that goes for any such pronouncement(s) uttered by any other liberal in politics and/or journalism.
How did he become a media darling?
Well, he called ALL 50 states correctly in 2012.
This against every other prediction out there telling us of a Romney victory ( e.g. Dick Morris, Michael Barone, etc. )
“This leaves the second tier, which I consider to be Bush, Fiorina, Christie and Paul.”
He just invalidated himself with that sentence, because none of those people have a snowball’s chance of winning anything. They won’t even get a single state I think.
RE: He just invalidated himself with that sentence
He just called them second tier, which tells me he agrees with you.
Ok let’s see. Trump can’t beat Hillary because all Trumps negatives are baked into the cake. However Hillary’s monstrous negatives are somehow not?
Her Fav-unfav is something like 35-65
The 3 words most used to describe according to recent Quinnipiac Poll are
LIAR
Untrustworthy
Dishonest
Tell me again why Hillary is a shoe in.
What is tenfold more important than polls is the ‘composition’ of the crowds who turn out at Donald Trump rallies and the ratings generated throughout the broadcast networks when he appears.
The composition of rally attendees shows a very wide spectrum of persons of all walks of life. Unlike Sanders whose large rallies comprise mostly former hippies of the Woodstock era, nostalgia seeking Grateful Dead tailgaters and so on, Trump attracts the rank and file from all corners of society.
“Silver is a Beltway lizard who benefitted from hyped up marketing about his prowess with the polls.”
..and his knowledge that the rats will do everything they can via voter fraud....
I saw a LOT of under 30s, college students, young professionals; a few blacks and Indians and Asians; a normal (for what you’d expect) over 40s. As you say, it was a very good mix, much better than a typical Tea Party event these days.
Er, sorry, this was at the Columbus rally Monday night.
I reviewed Silver last year and found his base of data to be the same that all other beltway grade pro pollsters use. He merely tweaked on a model and got promoted as a ‘seer’. His model tweak wasn’t brilliant. The results he had were mixed and a couple were lucky. Google ‘Luck of the Draw’ to learn more. King of like being dealt back to back royal flushes, it doesn’t mean anything except luck.
Actually Trump has already changed the politics of this election. He has moved the GOP to the right faster than anyone since Reagan.
Win or lose the nomination one would be an idiot to not see the impact Trump has had on the dialog.
Just to be clear, I say this as a Cruz supporter.
All that means is that he knew the fix was in.
Look at the crowds Trump is drawing. Every day of the week he has massive crowds. None of the other candidates come close, including the hildabeast. There are polls showing large democrat crossover for Trump. He will be voted in by democrats and republicans. Even unions are supporting him.
I think that Trump would win even as a third party at this point.
