Rosemary was a pretty girl with a natural smile. It sounds like she was getting a little out of control as a teen/young adult and her control freak parents couldn’t tolerate that.
She was probably the most normal and least threatening member of that cursed clan.

I do not defend Joe, Rose, or any of the Kennedys. However, medicine has done some wild things to women.
I watch a show called Murdoch Mysteries set in early 1900s. One episode dealt with what went on in treating women and their hysteria.
I had to do an internet search to see if that was for real. It was.
It was accepted practice to do lobotomies on women for all kinds of reasons. The guy who invented the lobotomy was given a Nobel Prize in 1949. There was one done on a kid in the 60s because he was moody.
