Ted Cruz's moment has arrived.
Less than 10 weeks before Iowa voters their cast the first votes of the presidential campaign season in Feb. 1 caucuses, a new Quinnipiac poll shows the Texas senator statistically tied with Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump for the lead in the state. Perhaps not so coincidentally, Cruz is tentatively beginning to take on the brash New York billionaire after months of cozying up.
Twice in recent days, the Texan has seized opportunities to distance himself from Trump's policies and rhetoric. First, Cruz disagreed with Trump after the New Yorker expressed openness to setting up a registry of Muslim Americans in the wake of the Paris terrorist attacks. "I'm a big fan of Donald Trump's but I'm not a fan of government registries of American citizens," Cruz told reporters in Iowa, according to Politico. "The First Amendment protects religious liberty, I've spent the past several decades defending religious liberty."
Then over the weekend, he politely chided inflammatory rhetoric from fellow Republicans on immigration, when asked about Trump during an interview with the Associated Press. "Tone matters," Cruz said. "Are there some in the Republican Party whose rhetoric is unhelpful with regard to immigration? Yes." Cruz's campaign said to expect more distinctions to come.

Cruz has taken more arrows fighting for our conservative views than any other statesman currently alive. He has the battle scars to show that he is on our side. I hate that people are willing to attack the character of a champion to try to support a carnival barker who was buddy buddy with the Clintons just a few short years ago.
Where did he lie about Trump?? sounds like the press tried to Trap Cruz just like they did Trump. Anyway, Cruz was talking about AMERICAN citizens. not immigrants. You gotta know what these slime bags ask Cruz. Sounds like a set-up to me, to get them fighting.
Meanwhile, Americans are in databases, ala Social Security, the IRS, etc.
I don’t know what the big deal is about having so-called Syrian refugees in a database.
Cruz has already put out a detailed plan about how he would first temporarily freeze and then completely reform the H1B system so that it could not be abused like it was by Disney. So, your attack is badly out of date.
Doesn’t Trump say how every other candidate is beholden to their donors except him? If he picked any of these candidates as his VP, and brought them onto his team, how would that square with what he says he stands for, not “owned” by anyone but his VP is? I think I’d be surprised if Trump picked as VP any of the other candidates.
I am pretty sure that TPP will not pass and TPA was a relatively routine trade promotion authority bill which he supported initially because it would give him power during his presidency to negotiate trade deals that will actually be good for this country.
Here’s comes Yahoo presenting Cruz as a moderate GOP candidate.
I really do not believe Goldman-Sachs, Christies, or Lloyds gives a flying sexual term who the VP is.
OK. You are getting into it.
WHO is your candidate, and why?
GO!

And those with phones are in the telephone company/telephone book databases, and those paying local and state taxes are in local and state databases, and those with bank accounts or credit/debit cards are in financial databases, and anyone with an electric company/gas company/cable company/satellite company account are in account databases, and anyone with a store credit card or online account card are in store databases, and those who belong to a Church or a Synagogue are in religious databases, etc., etc., etc.
(And if anyone thinks they're not in a database somewhere, just do a Google search on your own name.)
Maxine Waters said that Barack Obama and the Democrats were building an amazing database on the voters in this country (individual profiles).
You can bet your bippy that it would include religious perspective (or opposition to organized religion).
The liberals and the MSM have a major problem. So many conservative candidates to attack and so little time to destroy them. First Trump, then Carson, and now Cruz. Meanwhile, Hillary is just trying keep a low profile and avoid felony charges. The liberals are in chaos and are desperate. Their old strategies are not working as well this election cycle, and maybe won’t work at all.
Cruz has already experienced criticism and ridicule so he knows what to expect. He is smart and will defend himself. I do not think they will be as successful with Cruz or Trump. I see little difference between Trump and Cruz except I trust Cruz slightly more because of his political track record and unchanging values to date. After Obama, we need a conservative in the Whitehouse and above all one we can trust.
But I believe one candidate (Trump or Cruz or some combination of the two) will emerge as the nominee and become our next POTUS and/or VPOTUS. It is my hope and prayers the conservative grassroots can stay united in the great cause to rid this nation of the evil influences of too many years of socialism, taxation, and big government.
