He also played one of the Gusenberg brothers in St. Valentine's Day Massacre.
Yeah, I remember him on Bonanza. Didn’t he come along the last few years of the series?
Is anyone still.alive from Bonanza?
So, he ended up on a soap opera, huh? Well, good for him. I hope he had a happy life.
77 still not that old...RIP
“In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimerâs Associationâs David Canary Memorial Fund.”
RIP David Canary. It will be a great day when there is a cure for Alzheimer.
I remember him from All My Children(Used to watch the show with my Mom) he played both Adam and Stuart Chandler..77 is way too young to die..RIP
Omgosh, him? When I was a kid I watched that sometimes when I was home sick. If I recall correctly he married a teen girl and she ended up pregnant by some other young guy and he knew it wasn’t his baby because he had had a polo accident rendering him sterile. Then someone killed him and he came back as his long lost twin brother. Good times.
RIP.
I know that the major players--Lorne Greene; Michael Landon; and Dan Blocker--have been dead for many years now. (Lorne Greene died in 1987; Michael Landon died in 1991; and Dan Blocker died way back in 1972.
Pernell Roberts (who played Adam Cartwright until 1965) died in 2010. (Between 1979 and 1986, he had played the title character on the television series, Trapper John MD.)
RIP.
Most of the people who remember Bonanza are dead.
(I am kidding, of course....but there are fewer of us around every year.)
My mother was studying at the University of Cincinnati’s College Conservatory of Music at the same time that he was there. She said he was dashing & quite charming. He always struck me as a very classy guy. RIP, you provided joy to many.
LOL you made me remember that plot...I used to watch it too when home sick cuz my mom would watch it. memories
Thanks
I used to skip classes with friends and go to my house and watch All my children.

Gee thanks. Now I’m depressed. LOL
I used to watch Bonanza with my Dad. He loved westerns and watched them all. Alas, he has passed on, but I’m still here.
I used to watch Bonanza with my Dad also.
When we got the color TV in 1964,Sunday nights were Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color and Bonanza(with Chevrolet commercials).
Here’s the opening, from a later time in the series—shows David Canary as well:

How did he die? I remember him from the Kung Fu TV show
I used to watch AMC when I was a kid. I always liked his playing the twin roles. I also watched One Life to Live and General Hospital.
I stopped watching them when I was a teen but in the past year I started watching Days of Our Lives the last few minutes while waiting for The Dr’s to start. There were a few story lines I wanted to see where they were going and I wanted to see if my guesses were right. Sort of like a mystery but in soap form.
Never mind, Alzheimer’s, oh God rest his soul one of the worst ways to go.
