Dr Ben has known him thru philantropic work. Trump has been very active in supply medical needs to children. Both are friends of Thomas family and supportive of St Jude ( Eric now handles some of charity fund raising)

With that being said, and knowing that Trump has been raised in a God filled home and raised his children with the same feelings, we at this point, and I hope you all understand what I am about to say...
We need God back in Our Country, in our schools, in our Government, but we are not electing a Preacher, we are trying to elect someone that has a vision of the future of this Country, that can put this Nation back together again, yes with God, but if I wanted to elect a preacher to run this Nation, I would be voting and supporting Hucklebee, but I'm supporting Trump 100% because he has the backbone, the vision and support of God that we need right now...
Fine that Cruz has all these preachers and people endorsing him, that's great, but he's a ‘politician’ and a Junior Senator, and has only 1 bill with his name on it...has been a Senator for 3 years, maybe 4, and I don't want someone who is leading this Nation at this time that has a ‘political’ background that has to answer to super pacs, lobbyists, and handlers...I want someone who answers to the people of America...and that is Trump...if he fails, he has not only failed America but Americans also, if Cruz fails, he's only failed his super pacs, lobbyists and handlers...

Btw, I am referring to Trump as a 'candidate' in 2015. The man ya see on stage is the same exact one behind the stage and in private life. I can assure you, Trump is not some politically correct soft spoken socialist in private life.
In the hallway wall to his office is a sign “Let Trump be Trump”. I was just pointing out he IS a “nice guy”. There are half dozen stories of his empathy and generosity that he makes an effort to keep quiet. If not he would no doubt have longer lines of people wanting handouts Much of organized philanthropic work is now done by kids
If you want to find out if Trump is the real deal and the same guy in private, as he is on stage, ask his wife and kids.
I can assure you, it’s the same exact guy. Btw, he’s publicly stated many times he’s a nice guy, and he is. He simply just does not put up with bull s*** which we are currently up to our necks in.
