While authorities in Ankara have insisted that it shot down the Russian Su-24 bomber after the aircraft entered Turkish airspace, the Russian Defense Ministry has released video proving that the plane never left Syrian airspace.

Good times!
I agree totally. Murder. However, methinks perhaps assassination? Dead men tell no tales. Normally pilot POWs make tremendous bargaining chips. Political points. Yet, they were simply shot. Just seems odd to me...
And you got that info from the state controlled media, right comrade?
Rather than allowing dear leader to start WW3 by proxy, can we appease Putin by throwing dear leader’s head over the wall?
Russian jet hit inside Syria after incursion into Turkey: U.S. official

“âRussia couldnât build a decent flush toilet during the Cold War.â”
There was a Cold War Era book, the title of which esccapes me, that gave the USSR cudos for some of their technology, but said that at that time they couldn’t built a decent flush toilet. And with respect to consumer goods a statement was made to the effect that if a beautiful woman walked throgh Red Square naked except for high-heels, the people would look at her feet. BTW your description fits they current generation “ejector toilets” on commercial aircraft. I always stand before activation because I have a vision of my private parts banging on the outside fo the fuselage!
Sputnik is merely quoting evidence laid out by the Russian Ministry of Defense. Of course, the US/NATO is free to make its own technical rebuttal. Let’s see if they do. I am certainly not in a position to make an expert judgment myself. I only posted the article to make available to FR readers the position of the Russian MOD.
Seconded - and I’ve made a few posts myself here today!
“Russia and Putin are on the conservative side.”
This is the outward appearance, and for the time being probably a good thing if the Ruskies are whacking terrorists. From that perspective alone, I support what they are doing.
But at the same time I find it terribly confusing that they are supporting Iran, which is a terrorist nation.
For the short term the Russian activity appears to be good, but for the long term, especially if they are helping Iran get a full nuclear capability, this is what could eventually hatch into WWIII.
I must agree with other posters, you do not appear to be American. Your lingo gives it away.
Not American? What a joke. Born in Kansas City, MO, raised in Southern New Mexico (Alamogordo), AB University of Missouri-Columbia (’72), JD NYU Law School (’75). I have lived in DC for 40 years and know it like the back of my hand. I am resident between Stanton Park (where General Greene’s statue sits on a horse notwithstanding the park being named after Lincoln’s Secretary of War) and Lincoln Park. I’ve never been to Russia, but admire President Putin as the only major world leader willing to stand up to the international cultural (and economic) Marxist Left.
Anyway, that’s all a diversion, even if I were a paid troll my facts and arguments stand on their own merits. I generally find that those who cannot meet such arguments seek their last refuge in the “troll” attack.
If that is not enough, by the way, maybe you would like to ask me some detailed questions about US labor laws, including the Wagner Act, Taft-Hartley Act, Landrum-Griffin Act, and Davis-Bacon Act, all of which I have enforced in different capacities at various times. I don’t think any low-paid Russian troll would be able to respond there.
Says all that needs to be said.
