So, you defend the shooting down of KAL 007 under “International Law”? What specific “International Law” are you referring to? It’s obvious that the overflight was inadvertent...and the Soviets did overfly US airspace slightly on occasion, typically with TU-95s, and we didn’t shoot them down. We just escorted them out. BTW, what is “International Law” today? Do you care to defend the nonsense coming out of the UN, Brussels, and other transnational organizations as the last word on moral judgments in these matters? Turkey has been supporting Islamic terrorism, which is sufficient reason to take whatever measures are necessary to stop them from interfering with the war on ISIS.
You really are an open borders kind of guy, aren’t you? National sovereignty-shmovereignty. If you don’t object to military aircraft violating a nation’s borders you certainly wouldn’t object to a nation’s ground forces violating them, would you? What’s the difference? They are just troops passing through. Perhaps a few Russian tank divisions passing through Poland to get some towel heads in the Ukraine? Maybe they stop for a short breather while in Poland. And never leave.
Obama and Congress, representing the United States have supported radical Islamists at every opportunity. Surely, I don’t have have to provide you an exhaustive list of examples. Therefore, we can just let any old country take whatever measures necessary to stop us. On U.S. soil. Correct?
You don’t like the Turks. I get it. I don’t either. I also don’t like the Russians. Do I care if Russia bombs the crap out of Turks supporting ISIS? Nope. Do I care if Turkey shoots down Russian planes over Turkey? Nope.
