Turkish F-16 fighter jets shot down a war plane of unknown origin on Tuesday after it violated Turkish air space close to the Syrian border and ignored warnings, a Turkish military official told Reuters.

Look up UN resolution 1441. This is what made the coalition of the willing legal. The Coalition of the willing was built outside of your beloved UN. You are just a colossal stupid ass hell bent on remaining wrong for the sake of your beloved UN.
And looking like this was probably in Syrian airspace all along. Turns out Turkey claims sovereignty over the airspace for 5 miles inside Syria!
Just decided that on their own. The Ottomans sure are fun.
This incident is between Turkey and the Terror State of Russia.
Did RT tweet that?
I thought we sent six F-16Es to Turkey to provide air cover because they didn’t have that capability.
Nope, Turkey had no F-16’s before that point. LOL
You are officially too stupid to discuss this with anymore. And I think I know why. Polska,,,
Bush did not gather a coalition and just charge off. He sought out UN permission, and US congressional permission. Then and only then did he gather his coalition of the willing.
He sent Colin Powell to get the permission...on live TV.
The liberals tore him up and said it was all lies. We tore him up and said all he needed was congress. But he did it.
I think we sent F-15C’s. Dedicated air to air. At least the Turks don’t have those, so hopefully our crews won’t get caught up in any of this escalating BS by mistake.
But we do have F-16s around, almost certainly. Just hope our crews stay safe and don’t get dragged into this.
I agree. So where was Putin’s “permission” to invade and annex a portion of Ukraine? You brought-up Libya, so let’s hear it.
Keep slowly coming around to the truth while pretending you didn’t say what you said.
It’s what UN loving liberals do.
Turkish Air Force's fleet includes over 200 F-16 fighters, Defence Blog, March 13, 2015.
Nazi coup. When a coup hits, anyone can grab anything. The coup doesn’t get some natural right to everything the old government held.
Locals in the east didn’t want to go along and essentially held their own coup and called for help.
As for Crimea, the Russians have had a navy base there since the 1790s so they kinda invaded where they already were. They were about as likely to let Sevastopol become a NATO base as we would be to let them take Norfolk.
I know you don’t agree, but that’s my take.
In fact, Turkey was initially a production partner in the F-16 project at the very beginning, circa late 1970s.
And also little known is that they and the Israelis have cooperated very closely on remanufacturing and maintaining a big fleet of F-4s.
Of course, that was just before Erdogan.
You are an ignorant person from a little ways east of Berlin.
Except that Russia was invited off Syria to be there and we were not.\\it really is that simple.
Excellent! I just wish you had pointed it out sooner. “Turkey has no air-to-air capability.” LOLOL
And crazy enough, Turkey built this immense air fleet to threaten another NATO member, Greece.
Was happy to show you are a total idiot.
Same time again tomorrow?
Like a dog returning to vomit . . . .
That’s not me sparky. Turkey has a huge Air Force, and has for a long time. The mystery is why we sent 10 or 12 F-15C’s there. Turkey has never been short of air defense.
