Buckeye Nation is in mourning and you don't know O H-I O.
It has been a tradition, from the time when the Greeks in Block O, all comfy and such, yelled O-H to the Freshmen freezing in the (exposed, metal) bleechers (?) of the South stands. I loved Woody. Saw him speak a few times. Saw him in the ROTC building, too. He was a military historian, so he knew his football plays' names by their real names. I was one of the Frosh. Yeah. It was cold. Really cold. But those UM victories were wonderful, as were those 3 yds and a cloud of dust.
Oh man, I am so sorry I did not know.
My brother was a mailman—does that redeem me? ;)
Don’t forget a few other of Woody’s famous phrases: On any given Saturday, and a string of pearls. Aw, those were the days.
