Men and women who get up and go to work every day make those profits for the company. They are private corporations. The company makes profits and the employees who actually build cars should receive some of the rewards too.

Companies are not allowed to make profits Ford made $6.2 billion in pre-tax profits in 2014. GM made $6.6 billion and Fiat Chrysler made $4.4 billion. I think the companies are doing pretty good for themselves.

but skilled workers voted down the deal by a significant margin.
That's the part that counts. No new dies, no new models.
