WILTON, Iowa (AP) — Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson likens his learning foreign policy to his ability to absorb changing complex medical practices. But Carson is standing by his support for monitoring groups he describes as "anti-American" and keeping Syrian refugees out of the United States.
Carson has been pushed into the spotlight as he's among the leaders in national, and early voting state Republican polls. And yet, some have criticized the retired celebrated neurosurgeon as having insufficient grasp of foreign policy.
Referring to critics, Carson said Sunday at a meeting of about 400 eastern Iowa GOP activists: "They say 'Carson doesn't know anything about foreign affairs.'"
Carson pointed to the continuing medical education all physicians are required to obtain as a sign of his capacity to learn, and said he would seek help from advisers.
"It doesn't matter, because what is really needed is a clear understanding of what the problems are and the ability to work with very talented people that we have," he said. "The world is changing very quickly. We have to be willing to continually update our knowledge and adjust to the things that are going on in our country."

I think it’s time for Carson to bow out. The only serious contenders are Trump, Cruz, and Rubio.
And Rubio blew it with his amnesty crap.

No, sir. We don’t have time for this. Our country is dying. We need someone already knowledgeable in all aspects of governing. We don’t have time to be his guinea pig while he tries out a new hobby. This isn’t a game.

I’ll never understand why Carson ran in the first place.....he’s a Surgeon for crying out loud!.... How would he handle it if a politician or ceo stepped into his operating room and said “I have the capacity to learn brain surgery”......while the patient is dying on the table.

Man, it's wonderful being right all the time.
We don’t have one now. Nothing Obama has done has been stupid or uninformed or unintelligent or crazy or on the job training.
He is accomplishing everything he set out to accomplish.
It amazes me that we have people who still think that Obama is just screwing things up because he doesn’t have a clue.
He knew exactly what he wanted to accomplish once he became POTUS and has done most, if not all, so far. He has a killer cabinet and advisors, to bring the Agenda. He’s been tremendously successful.
At least as successful as FDR and Reagan.
The man gets everything he wants.
And he’s proud of it!

As did Cruz by not being honest with amnesty early on, for support Obama TPP and Iran deals (yes, he supported it before he objected), and his 500% increase in H1B that he now dismisses. That leaves Trump standing. And so the polls show as well. If you are not supporting Trump, why not?
