How many vice-presidents in the last 200 years have won the White House? Cruz knows the answer to that. If he doesn't win the nomination he'll stay in the Senate.
Take a long walk and gather yourself up again.
“How many vice-presidents in the last 200 years have won the White House? Cruz knows the answer to that. If he doesn’t win the nomination he’ll stay in the Senate.”
14 Presidents served as Vice President before assuming office; all but one of those served as V.P. immediately before becoming President.
16 Senators served before becoming President. Only three of them were Senators immediately before becoming President.

Being V.P. is a very good way to become President.
Truman, Nixon, Ford, Johnson just to name a few.
Consider the WWII era and beyond. Truman became president after the death of Roosevelt. Barkley chose to not run after failing to get support of Labor because of his age. Nixon lost to Kennedy but won the presidency eight years later. Johnson became President after the death Kennedy and won the following election. Ford became President after the resignation of Nixon. Mondale lost to Reagan. George H. W. Bush succeeded Reagan. Gore lost to Bush 43. Cheney did not run.
So of the nine VP since 1944, Truman, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, And Bush 41 became President at one point. Barkley, and Cheney chose not to run. Mondale and Gore lost and have not yet become President.
I hope Cruz is the VP is something should happen to Trump. If Trump bombs during the primaries then I want Cruz to win.
