How many vice-presidents in the last 200 years have won the White House? Truman, Nixon, Ford, Johnson just to name a few.

Truman, Nixon, Ford, Johnson just to name a few. Three of those became president on the death or resignation of their predecessor. I'd rather Cruz did not get the White House under those circumstances. The fourth did not go from the vice-presidency to the presidency.

Truman, Ford, and Johnson do not count, as they reached office by the death or resignation of the president.
Ford in particular, was totally rejected by the people.
