KINGSTON, New Hampshire – Nancy Buckley, a Republican from Massachusetts, drove to a packed Veterans of Foreign Wars hall here, where she and several dozen predominantly older voters waited patiently for Texas Sen. Ted Cruz to speak.

'Im looking for someone who wont approve amnesty,' Buckley told MSNBC. 'Its probably down to Cruz and Trump right now, [Im] just trying to get a feel for them both.'

Amid the graying crowd, a handful of young men in Cruz-branded vests and sweaters moved through the room collecting personal information. The candidate stood in the back of the room in front of a camera to do a satellite interview with Sean Hannity.

Ted Cruz has an incredibly organized and well-funded campaign and loyal staff.

He's the voice conservatives have yearned for and he's right in the thick of the race.

When MSNBC pens a mostly positive article on a candidate, they're taking note too.

“Amid the graying crowd,”

You mean the democrat candidates?

I would truly enjoy seeing a debate between Cruz and Hillary!

A National audience would see a verbal slaughter ensue.

Bring it on!

The RINO donors would sell him out and back Hillary. No way they’d put up money him to win.

Can you please explain to me why it’s not an issue for you that Cruz supported bringing in Syrian refugees, which he did just last year. I’m honestly curious how this just gets swept away.

In addition, maybe in plain English, someone can explain why the trade agreement vote was some super ninja move that ‘saved’ us. I honestly do not understand that thinking, at all. Thanks

Heard the same thing back when Reagan ran...and won.

That would be the political equivalent of the Holm/Rousey fight. The arrogant, media created diva getting destroyed by the cool, well prepared professional fighter. Yup, Shrillary would get walloped big time by Cruz.

The “progressives” of both parties are scared of Ted.

Cruz supported bringing in Syrian refugees

What an absurd statement.

Context is EVERYTHING!

'We have welcomed refugees -- the tired, huddled masses -- for centuries. Thats been the history of the United States,' he told Fox News in a video featured on Cruz's website. 'We should continue to do so." He added: "We have to continue to be vigilant to make sure those coming are not affiliated with the terrorists, but we can do that.'

Which trade agreement vote are you speaking of? His vote for cloture so the bill would be moved back to the House? Or his no vote on the actual bill?

Perhaps, if so it’s the most wrongheaded assumption since the Dems thought the Dukakis tank photo was a great idea.

They know better than that. Polling shows Cruz to be the Republican most devastating to the Dem candidates in paired comparisons.

The only trouble here is PMSNBC.

IMHO we need a Trump/Cruz ticket to straighten this country out. That ticket should be good for 12-16 years. I don’t know if Trump would do 8 years. I know Cruz is good for 8 years. We have to look at the long term.

Trump is truly waking up the conservative base and I admire his thunder, but I prefer a constitutionalist to a celebrity as President.

Meh, we can agree to disagree.
