Or he goes to an apostate church and wouldn’t know the truth if he heard it.
Sad
Just.....Lost.
Needs prayer.
Note his use of the plural:
Many around me in the coffee shop nodded in agreement in support of welcoming Christian refugees and rejecting those of other faiths.
Islam and what? What other faith does this guy fantasize is an issue?
papertyger, are you saying that Christians are scary to you? If so, then I would be interested in knowing why? What is it about Christianity that is scaring you?
We have arrived at the third P of end time prophecy, Politically Correct, Profile, Persecute. Christians are about to see real persecution in this country.
No, but they do have a long history of "eating their own."
Not exactly prime stock for building pluralities.
He’s making up things out of his head- like the remark about a theocracy. He fears a theocracy while no one else is even considering it. But he doesn’t want to look like the conspiracy theorist he is so he projects the idea of a theocracy onto someone else. While if his account is true, they obviously had never given it a thought until he mentioned his fear. So, he rushes in to imply that the goal of Christians is a theocracy. Riiiight... protestants opposed to bloated central government want a theocracy? I think he made that conversation up.
Liberals always project their assumptions onto others and put words they expect to hear in the mouths of people they refuse to listen to otherwise.
Plenty of haters like this on FR. I can’t tell you how many times I have been told Evangelical Ted Cruz = Jimmy Cater.
There is no such thing as “the Christian Left”. At some point, the ideals of the leftists, total management of the entire sphere of human endeavor, comes in conflict with the dedication of life to Christ, and becomes its complete substitute. Only an ersatz and much diminished trace of the image of Christ remains in their psyches, with no remaining evidence of divinity or of the virtue of Christianity.
In the absence of a conviction in the divinity and power of Christ, or of a greater power of God and the Holy Spirit of the Trinity, the occasional and only incidental “Christian” is sometimes attracted to the dynamic and menacing power of of a warlike cult/ideology, as something to give awe and respect.
Just because a person attends church, that no more makes him a Christian, than standing in a garage makes a person an automobile.
Yup. Someone posted that earlier. Good name for her: The Butcheress of Benghazi.
Maybe he should be driving a yellow cab.
The writer comes across as a Christian who is not a Christian but a lying relativist (similar to Jews in Rev. 3:9)offended by and rejecting the exclusivity of the Way of Christ in favor of the “oneness” ideology dominating the campus and the popular media. Under the influence of pagan “oneness” rising generations are losing all sense of the antithesis (right or wrong, true or false, male or female), and are placing their faith in the pagan synthesis of “both/and” monism.
Unlike many of the minorities in the US /s
SALON as a news group, exhibits a very lot of INTOLERANCE. They want to control the minds of everyone. To their narrow, weird, ways.
Regarding projection, it is worth noting that in the 20th Century militant Atheist Communist governments killed tens of millions of their own people. So Salon’s co-religionists of the last century were a real danger of the highest magnitude.
And Cruz is evil because... I couldn't find a reason.
Keep going Ted. You re in their heads. And when a bull is charging it s easier to manipulate.
This author is not Christian but the typical leftie telling you about how scary anyone is who doesn’t bow to big government.
The writer?
