Trump, and you, are right about this. Putting the customers aside for the moment, suppose many of the shop owners had rifles locked up in the back, easily accessible to trusted employees.
I really can't blame the owners very much for not doing that previously. But after Friday, they'd be fools not to do it now.
Awhile back, someone here on FR posted a picture of some restaurant in middle America. All the waitresses had open-carry sidearms. That's worth posting again.
