Rep. Labrador refuses to take questions from Breitbart reporter

Rep. Raul Labrador (R-Idaho), refused to take a question from a reporter for Breitbart on Tuesday, telling her she was not an honest reporter.

At the monthly panel "Conversations with Conservatives,” Breitbart reporter Julia Hahn asked the various members of congress assembled to raise their hands if they would be "willing to support a suspension or reduction in Muslim immigration."

Some of the lawmakers raised their hands, and as Hahn tried to ask a question of those who did not, Labrador interrupted.

"I don't answer questions from you because you are not a truthful reporter and I will not answer any of your questions. So let's move on to somebody else," Labrador said.

Hahn asked Labrador what she has reported that he found not truthful.

"We have tried, and you guys won't change your reporting, so ... We can take it up afterward. I enjoy debating," Labrador said.

Labrador walked out at one point and Hahn followed him out. They both separately returned to room after the press conference was over.

Ironically, Labrador spoke after Rep. Dave Brat (R-Va.), for whom Hahn previously served as press secretary. Hahn also worked as a producer for conservative radio host Laura Ingraham, who was a champion of Brat's candidacy and eventual defeat of former Rep. Eric Cantor.

If Labrador can't handle a Breitbart reporter, then how can he handle Putin and China?

Inside baseball, Politico referencing Breitbart. Seems like a crappy way to make a living.

I can’t imagine Andrew Breitbart would ever approve of the sloppy work product that often appears under Ms. Hahn’s by-line.

That being said, we really can’t judge her guilt or innocence without a picture.

I’m also amazed how long Simpson’s one time fellow congressmember, “Butch” Otter, has been sticking around in the ID governorship. He’s been there since 2006 and seems to underperform what you’d expect a Republican would do in that state, particularly in 2006 and 2014.

ID is a state where term limits for state officials are badly needed. To give an idea of how long he’s been desirous of the Governorship, he first ran for it in 1978(!) after 6 years in the state legislature. Otherwise, other than for an 8-year gap (but remained active politically), he’s been in office continuously for 35 of the last 43 years.

It’s curious he almost lost reelection in 1994 (of all years) to his 3rd term as Lt Governor after being convicted of DUI (which forced him to abandon his run for Governor that year). Had it not been for the GOP tide, he would’ve been out.

Rep. Raul Rafael Labrador, given that:

thus the American people want to know, and have a right to know, whether you support Muslim immigration into America at this time, and if you do who is expected to economically support them, and who is to be held accountable when some of them commit acts of terror and more innocent American blood is spilled, and will the charges include treason?

The American people DEMAND answers to these questions, Mr. Labrador, and will not condone weaseling cut-and-run evasions for lame reasons by gutless political elites.
