Monday night at a rally in Knoxville, TN, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said instead of bringing refugees to the United States he would build a âbig, beautiful safe zoneâ in Syria.
Trump said, âWhat I like is build a safe zone in Syria. Build a big, beautiful safe zone, and you have whatever it is so people can live, and theyâll be happier.â
Her added, âSo You keep âem in Syria. You build a tremendous safe zone, itâll cost you tremendously much less, much less, and theyâll be there and the weatherâs the same. And the weather is the same and then when this horrible situation that is so horrible run. We donât know what we are doing. When its all over they move back and they go back into their cities, and they rebuild there cities. And they start out and they start over again.â

Illegal aliens are another.
There are still the general quotas we've always had.
After the events in Paris on 11/13, I will be adding
this to my posts for the next week. I'm certain our
turn is coming again soon. We stand united against
Islamic extremists.
Some music for reflection if the mood strikes you.

An honorable mention also goes out to Lassana Bathily , a Muslim immigrant from Mali.
Mr. Bathily sheltered customers at the Jewish Deli and helped police by providing info
on the terrorists, and providing the location of survivors in the deli.

Other words used in the DJT drinking game are, the word "YUGE" and the word "Great".
He's always name dropping saying "I like So-and-So. I love So-and-So. He's Great!"
We need to create a safe zone in the Middle East where all the refugees can go til the fighting is over. Then they can go home not entrench themselves like parasites here in the US. Its a lot cheaper to house and feed them over there than bringing them here. In fact bringing them here is insane.
I’m talking about claiming Trump was turning about. Yea, it’s the lesser of too evils to let Russia take the lead in the middle east for now. But he’ll [Putin] forge closer ties to Europe now, neutralize the Ukraine issues and lead to European alienation of the U.S. But our hands are with this imbecilic administration.
The focus in Iraq and Afghanistan was completely wrong. The focus should be on conquering and colonization. You attack the US and you are occupied and colonized for the foreseeable future. We can’t hand a bunch of 8th centiury savages a country and hope they’ll somehow appreciate it. You conquer them and you colonize them. Some will show potential, and they will have the carrot of naturalization put before them. But only the best of the best will have that opportunity, vetted over many years.
And who is to say that over time the colony won’t become a nice place? E.g. Hong Kong. Heck, give veterans a nice chunk of land as a bonus for service and see what they can do with it.
BTW, PJ, today is my 15th anniversary on FR!
Trump is right they all need to go back.
Who cares if Syria agrees? Or the Syrians?
Beggars can’t be choosers.
Actually, Trump was on Scarborough yesterday morning (by phone) and he *specifically* said he would gather the support of a coalition of countries to deal with Syria together. He especially emphasized that there are Middle Eastern countries that we help protect/prop up (whom he said have no “skin in the game” now), and we will tell them that they need to use their own soldiers to deal with the Syria problem. He said, however, that at first we too would send a small force of US soldiers. Scarborough asked if he would be willing to send up to 10,000 troops. He said yes and stressed that it would not be our soldiers who would be there long term though, but troops from the region. Although he didn’t say it outright, I got the impression that he was going to threaten to cut off financial and military aid to these countries, if they don’t do this. He also mentioned that we should work with the Kurds.
I’m not sure I agree with having our boots on the ground there, but I thought the folks posting here were missing a lot of what the Donald’s plan for Syria actually looks like. Everyone criticizing how vague Trump is, just remember not all the details of what he has in mind get published in each article on a given subject. You can usually find out more details in regard to his various plans and positions if you watch his interviews (at least if the interviewer is any good)—and, of course, he has position papers on his website for certain topics.
well it is their country that the man is suggesting he’d build in afteral.
I;d think I more neighborly if he asked for some sort of permission before charging ahead..

Ah yes. Due to the Palm Beach Polka.
15 years!
Congratulations!!
Pokey.
My LCMS friend Mollie Ziegler Hemingway (who now is with the Federalist and appears as a talking head on the news shows) told me about this conservative website where people were quoting my "Palm Beach Pokey." So that's how and when I joined FR.
How’s he going to get the refugees to pay for it?
It is cheaper to keep them over there, too. I heard it costs 14 times more to keep them here for 5 years rather than there.
Ah, the one trick pony is back...
So Cruz can flip flop? They BOTH were referring to Christians.
I agree. Just like to post that for all the people that say Trump flip flops. He also referred only to Christians.
