Sorry, but you need to do some research. Who do you think made the massive tank sweep during the first Gulf War that drove Saddam’s elite into a corner? According to my son, an ANGLICO Marine who was there, “The French were about the only ones besides us who knew what the hell they were doing. I’d support them anytime.” He’s a fighting Marine and he admires the French. Need I say more?
Just as a comparison, France has 4 Aircraft Carriers. I believe Great Britain has one. France is also a nuclear power and ranks #6 worldwide in Military Strength.
Why don’t you find out what Army broke the German supply lines in Italy. It wasn’t us regardless of the destruction of Monte Cassino.
A suggested reading list would include, Generals Philip LeClerc. Maxime Weygand, Jean de Lattre de Tassigny, Alphonse Juin, Henri H. Geraud, and de Gaulle of course, just for starters.
