Philadelphia's mayor on Monday called gun violence in American cities "domestic terrorism" that is no different from international terrorism.
Mayor Michael Nutter said in a phone interview after a meeting with Attorney General Loretta Lynch and members of the U.S. Conference of Mayors in Washington that citizens want to feel safe, no matter where they live.
"Domestic terrorism is international terrorism," Nutter said. "There is really no level of distinction between the violence that goes on, on the streets of America on a daily basis and the episodic acts of international terrorism that also take place — primarily in cities."
Mayors from Washington, Baltimore, New Orleans, and Gary, Indiana, also attended the previously-scheduled meeting. All acknowledged the tragedy in Paris that killed 129 people and injured 350 others.

Philadelphia,
the city that drops bombs on citizens and burn city blocks to the ground?
Shut the hell up there Nutter, ya dope.
You don’t lock up AK-47s in GITMO for being Terrorists.
Nutter is appropriately named.
There is a difference between a drug dealer shooting another drug dealer for territory and an Islamic nutter shooting an innocent person to make a political point. Only one of the two is terrorism.
There is a difference between a decent person shooting a robber and an Obama voter shooting a store clerk during a robbery. Both are “gun violence” to America’s enemies, but one is a good thing.
I think the Mayor is apply named. He’s quite a Nutter..
In a roundabout way, he is right. Gang violence in the cities is the exact same thing as islamic terrorism. It is primitive barbarians using violence to scare a population into following the gang’s agenda.
But, it’s not the guns that make them terrorists. It is the violence and barbarity and tribal culture that makes them terrorists. Is he ready to renounce the culture that spawns this inner city terrorism?
Of course not. Because #thuglivesmatter.
Have another Nutter Butter crap filled cookie.
And 110% of the registered voters in Philly agree with him!! /s
I watched it transpire on T.V. back when it happened and couldn’t believe it was happening.
So when will he start demanding that MS13, Crips, Bloods, et. al. be designated as terrorist organizations?
We are in a war that we are waiting to get permission to fight.
Nutter: the name says it all....
Who is trying to terrorize whom, and about what???
This is primarily urban gangs engaged in the illegal drug industry takin' care of bidness. If they can't use the courts to enforce a business contract or resolve a dispute with a supplier, customer, competitor or employee the only thing left to do is to "take out a contract" figuratively speaking.
Exactly the same thing happened during alcohol prohibition, with a little less carnage. But to call it "domestic terrorism" is just plain stupid.
It was something right out of Apocalypse Now (on a smaller scale), seems to be a trend, W. Wilson Goode (’RAT) bombs the ‘MOVE’ house, Bill Clinton was President (’RAT) when they massacred those people at WACO, then there was Randy Weaver and his family at Ruby Ridge in ‘92 when GHWB was President... (oh wait, what? ;)
Didn't they misspell his name? Shouldn't it be “Nutty”
Since most of it is done by blacks, I guess nutty wants some drone strikes on the hood.
So is Nutter making a racist attack on blacks, since blacks are the perps for a hugely outsized share of murders and other violent crimes using guns?
(Yes, I know Nutter is black)
This from more than 20 years ago, from the New York Times:
Wondering how some Philadelphia precincts voted 150% for Obama?
Yes, there is. The latter has a political agenda, and the former does not.
You'd think a person in charge would be able to understand that...
