Immigration issue makes Marco Rubio #1 with GOP establishment
stridentconservative.com ^ | 11/16/15 | Tom Tancredo

This week it became official. Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), not Jeb Bush, is now the Republican establishment’s candidate for President. How do we know that? FOX News pundit Charles Krauthammer has announced it. Since his record for reading the political tea leaves is at least as good as mine, who am I to argue?

Krauthammer says the “final four” in the race to the GOP National Convention will be Trump, Carson, Rubio and Cruz. Of those four candidates, there is zero debate over who represents the Republican establishment now that Jeb Bush is no longer in the picture. Since Bush is a “dead man walking,” the establishment needs another horse to ride and they are rallying to Senator Rubio.

What the “high rollers” don’t yet see is that politically speaking, Marco Rubio is a dead man dreaming—because he carried the establishment’s water on the most important issue of the 2016 campaign, immigration.

No one can deny that Marco Rubio is an attractive candidate. Rubio has a dream and he has a strategy to fulfill that dream. He is a more formidable candidate than Jeb Bush because he is articulate and is running as a “centrist conservative.”

When Rubio is out of the running the establishment will turn to Cruz. NOT because they love or even like Cruz, but because the can’t stand the idea of a total outsider (Trump) winning the nomination.
This is all fine by me.

“When Rubio is out of the running the establishment will turn to Cruz.”

Can you imagine them being FORCED to support Cruz as we were FORCED to support the odious McCain and the pantywaist Romney??!!

They’ll think it’ll be a Goldwater, where the conservative will go down in flames, and the moderates will again be in the ascendant, but it will instead be a Reagan, with a smashing landslide victory, and the moderates will be wiped out for a generation, with no more Bushes to turn to.

I am looking for the satire label and I don’t see one. Tom has jumped the shark.

No one can deny that Marco Rubio is an attractive candidate.

Why? No credentials or accomplishments other than becoming a senator. He is not intimidating, not decisive, and he is weak on conservative values. He memorizes his speeches. A truly unremarkable character, easily forgotten.

Nothing about Rubio is attractive to a conservative working voter. Nothing.

Paris just ended Rubio's ambitions for the White House ... I'd give you 500 to 1 odds on him now.

GOPe can't stand Cruz -- they'll try to recruit Romney first. But, I don't think Romney will take the bait. Losing a third time would be a pointless exercise.

Hey, what about me? I wasn't even mentioned in this article and I'm supposed to be the establishment front runner. Check out my new campaign slogan:

I can FIX it! I CAN FIX IT!

He is a phony, at times seems childish, and lacks credibility. He had not accomplished anything special and he owes his major donor - Singer who is frantically pro amnesty and pro same-sex marriage. Besides, his parents were Cubans when he was born. Dems would make an issue of him not being a natural born citizens - and they would be right. He is not qualified on basis of his inability to do the job and not meeting Constitutional requirement.

Tom Tancredo, where have you been? Krauthammer has been touting Rubio since the beginning.
